NOW TV - Entertainment passes

I'm thinking of getting a Now TV box but have a query about the passes.

I see the standard price for a monthly Entertainment pass is £6.99 but what's to stop you from buying a monthly pass on Ebay for 99p (there are numerous entries at that price on there) every month?
Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.

Nothing to stop you, just be careful if buying on eBay that the scratch-off part of the voucher is intact, you don't want to pay for a pass thats already been used.
I bought several Now TV boxes from Amazon and Argos with prices as low at £9.99 for a box with a three month entertainment pass. I then use the passes by entering the codes on their website and I sold the boxes I don't need on eBay.

Thanks for that. Great idea but, unfortunately, £14.99 seems to be the cheapest for a box with 3 month Entertainment pass now.

    Or go directly to Amazon:
    http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B016WGF9O2?ref_=gbps_img_s-3_8407_e1aa14a8&smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE

Do note that this is a "deal of the day", so the price won't be held for long.

For info, you never really need to pay the £6.99 even if you get it through Sky direct. I had the free month trial, went to cancel it, they offered me 3 months half price. At the end of that, went to cancel, they offered my 4 months at £4 a month. Will find out what the offer is next. Had the same with Netflix, they offered me another free trial after I'd been off it for a while.

It can be done, but only be done by contacting them directly via their Live Chat (or posting something on their forum which may elicit a response from one of their reps).

Yeah! Understandable that you might want to completely wipe your account and card details, but I think they generally prefer people to stay registered - so that you can come back and pay & use it again. By nature, it's a bit of a dip in and out type of service!

If you have no luck, you can set a payment PIN on your account. This will be required whenever purchase of a pass is requested, and should prevent anybody else from using your account to buy anything. And, of course, eventually your card details will just expire anyway...
