Getting a TV licence refund - another scam!
Ever tried to get a refund from TVL, maybe because you're a student vacating your term-time living accommodation? Okay, so they don't really want to give you a refund and make it as difficult as possible to claim it via their website, but get this: I applied for a refund three weeks ago and as of today no cheque had turned…

Adding Sky Sports to discounted account.
Hi all My Sky account currently has 60% off until the end of January. I have previously added Sky Sports onto this and it too was discounted by the 60%. Just called Sky and they have said that that isnt the case anymore & the Sky Sports would be the full current rate. Has anyone else hit this wall or is it worth trying…

Can't decide between Sky or BT TV
Just recently left Sky, they made me an offer of 60% off for 12 months to come back. To be honest, the only thing I'm interested in is sports and even with 60% off Sky is expensive and you have to add various things to get HD and HD is excluded from the 60% off. Then there is BT TV, Not as much choice granted but then I…

Virgin and aerial related question
I've had Virgin TV, broadband and phone since moving in to my house 2 years ago. Due to price increases, I now want to change to something cheaper. I hardly watch TV, but would still like some kind of TV package to watch the "basic" channels, including news. I was wondering about Now TV for example. However, I think I have…

Cancelling Sky early

I have Boxsets and cinema so my bill will be over £60 a month which is rediculous I'm not that impressed with Sky Q, it is very…

I seem to have cancelled my Virgin TV
Hi I followed the instructions on how to get a better deal and spoke to someone at Virgin explaining I have found a better deal and would like to close my account. After explaining the deal I found, they said that sounds like a brilliant deal and no way we can beat that so we will close your account. They didn't transfer…

Sky £10 offer administration fee
Don't know if this has already been raised but I recently renegotiated my sky package and moved my broadband and phone away from them as they wouldn't match the £10 a month difference. Was reviewing my future bill and there was a £10 offer admin fee that I had not been told about apparently this is a new thing and whenever…

Considering returning to Sky. Used their on-line chat, wasted 10 minuets of my life before giving up. TV Licence specific for certain live events
I'm looking into lawfully not paying for my TV Licence, my partner and I do not usually watch live TV or iPlayer (netflix preferred), apart from occasional live sports which are usually pay per view. I'm wondering if it's possible to purchase a TV Licence for 24 hours or possibly a week, as an annual subscription would…

Getting ready to renegotiate and my Sky Broke!
We have Sky's TV package and over the years normally haggle around +/- a 50% rolling contract year on year. We are now coming near the end of our discount and was getting ready to give my 30 days notice to renegotiate however - today we had a Powercut and when the power finally came back on the box appears to be fine but…

Sorry if this has already been posted, couldn't see it anywhere. Just read this article about sky finally rewarding existing customers, details are a bit vague but it seems to be rolling out next week, rewards are better the longer you've been with them with the best for 15 years plus. Will definitely be taking a look next…

Cancelled sky a few days ago
I cancelled my sky a few days ago as I wasn't happy with what I'd been offered. I have until the 6th of September to change my mind (I intend to). When is the best time to get a better deal out if them,do I leave it to the very end? I'm being offered 40% off the tv package already, but am holding out for more

Sky won't even match my CURRENT deal!
I currently receive Sky TV, Sky Sports (not HD), Broadband and line rental for £27 per month. I've gone to the retention team and they say they can't even match this again and the best I can get is £41. SURELY that's a load of old rubbish?!

TV license email BBC vs
I have just received an email from the TV license people asking me to change over from paper licenses to email. It has got me thinking about a few things - Why if they are saving money from not sending out paper licenses are we not saving money? Wouldn't it be a good idea to scrap the TV license and put adverts on the BBC…
