Am I stronger as a returning or new Sky customer?

Hi Guys,
I'd love your thoughts please. I'm thinking of returning to Sky. I left a year ago and in the next week or so it'll be the full 12 months, so I'm wondering if I'd be offered better deals as a customer who left within the last 12 months, or a new one if I leave it a couple of weeks - what do you think?
I was offered an okay deal after speaking to a Sky Rep, but it's not low enough for me so I'm hoping I'll be able to do better as a new customer...fingers crossed!

Absolutely, so another few weeks and it'll be the full year since I was a customer. I'm trying to establish whether I should grab any deals I'm offered before that point or wait and see what I'm offered as a new customer.0

Why not point out that you'll be classed as a new customer in a few weeks and see if they'll bring forward the deal you'll get then?0 -
That's a good idea, thank you - I might give that a go in the next few days. I think I've timed it badly too as they're short staffed due to the weather.0

The best deal I had with sky was 75% off for a year and £100 credit.0

That's fantastic! I was with them for almost 15 years and I used to get around 40% off which was handy, but at the time I left it was still too expensive and made more sense to move to Now TV as they had a really good deal on (which is about to expire for me).0 -
Just in case anyone is interested, it appears the offers are better whilst you're still in that 12 month period immediately after you leave - I'm now beyond that 12 months and being offered rubbish deals. I was on the Live Chat for over an hour and ended up getting offered the equivalent of around an 18% discount and nothing else to sweeten the deal.0

The days of good offers for new tv customers appear to have ended, as the offer just seems to be the £5 off entertainment that current customers can get if they recontract and cut price Cinema, again open to all.
They used to be large cash credits ,free tvs and the like.
We're 4 months without and still managing well.0 -
They've offered me a fairly decent deal on the package I had before, buy my main incentive for returning is because of Sky Q - we watch TV in two rooms quite a bit so we're currently on Now TV which allows us to do that without it costing a fortune.
I've found the whole experience of trying to get a straight answer from Sky really frustrating and long-winded, which is very off-putting!0
