Sky and a disjointed contract

Apologies as I know this has probably been discussed before but I don't want to hijack anyone elses thread, any help making decisions would be appreciated,
We have sky fibre and line rental but we are still in contract until May 18th so I don't have to think about these just yet (possibly only as a bargaining tool).
In the meantime I rang up today to ask about contract dates and we are out of contract now for the SkyTV bit - we are on a boxed set bundles and the girl said we have 50% off at the moment.
For the boxed set part of our bills they are increasing month by month
March £18.12
April £19.75
May £19.75
June £28.96
July £39.50
The best the girl could offer if we renewed today would be £35 for a 18 month contract - ie a £4.50 discount.
(new customers seem to get sky TV for £20 a month plus £5 for box sets with an 18 month contract)
We have a standard HD TV we have watched the odd box sets but def not worth £35 a month. We don't need sports, cinema or kids - just the documentaries and the occasional entertainment and we don't need multi room.
I am trying to formulate the best plan of action.
If we cancelled altogether with 30 days notice what could we get to replace sky TV and what would the costs be - upfront and ongoing.
(We cant have anything that requires a fast broadband speed, even on fibre we only get between 11 and 12 MB download) .

For new customers to get what you get (regardless of whether you watch it or not) it would cost £20 for Entertainment + £5 HD + £5 Kids+ £5 Boxsets plus whatever the Sports pack for F1 Racing is which totals £35 plus the Sports pack price.
I'm considering swapping Boxsets at 50% discount for Entertainment + HD if they can give me a decent offer when I call about the broadband.
BTW the £20 offer for new customers is I think the full price for Entertainment as long as you submit to the 18 month contract, the £25 a month price is available if you want it on a rolling monthly contract.
