TV licence £157.50 for 5 months?
Apologies if this thread has been on before but I couldn't find anything similar. I bought a house end of May and started up a monthly DD to cover the tv licence. I've now noticed my bank account that £31.50 is getting deducted each month instead of the £13.12 it should be. I've checked the "payment plan" the licensing…

TV licence visit - Doesn’t watch TV at all
Hello, I’m wondering if anyone can help. My daughter moved into a new flat in January and has a TV set, but she doesn’t watch any TV. The TV set will in the future be used purely for gaming on, when she can afford to get a gaming console. When she lived at home, she never watched TV here neither. She recently received a…

Save £157.50 per year in Tv licensing fee
Things have evolved due to internet and now I believe you can see many English-language live streaming Tv channels from around the world and quite freely if they are not on Ofcom register (in other words they are Non-Ofcom) such as for example Abc Tv (U.s.a.) and Nbc (U.s.a.) whilst you are in the U.k. YouTube.com is an…

Now TV Roku box doesn't have Amazon app
Hi there, I have resisted getting Amazon Prime for a long time now, but I am now seriously thinking about it. I do have Now TV (just entertainment) and i got the basic Roku box from them on a special a few years ago. I can add all sorts of apps to that box, but not Amazon, and I honestly don't want to have to watch that on…

Alternative to Sky subscription
A friend has fallen on some hard times (her husband's company closed); she asked me if it is possible to cancel her sky Q sub, and continue to use the box with freesat from sky. NOW TV query
I'm asking this on behalf of an elderly friend. She has an older TV (28") and hasn't got the space for a larger one - or the will really. Her TV has at least one HDMI port. She's interested in NOW TV.Is it correct that she would need the NOW TV stick as her TV doesn't have wifi capability? Thanks.

A new tv at a reasonable price
After enlarging my living quarters I’ll be buying a new television. The one I have at the moment would be to small I’m in my early 70’s so cost is important. From a practical point of view it will be down to either a 65 inch or 55 inch tv. Now I’m a casual viewer: with no games, or interest in satellite tv. I do enjoy…

Possible to get Freeview without an aerial?
We've just bought a house and have realised that we cannot get Freeview TV due to trees blocking the signal. We have reached out to the council who have said pruning the trees or removing them is a big 'No, No'. We've had an aerial installer out and after spending 6 hours trying to find somewhere to install a TV aerial, he…

Over 75s
We are both over 75. Most TV is such rubbish that when we get the demand to start paying for a TV licence again it will go straight in the bin. If all over 75s do the same that will put an end to it.

Paying TV Licence by Cheque
I never watch the BBC so this year I have cancelled my direct debit and unplugged all the TV's. We only watch Netflix and Amazon Prime these days... However my wife moaned at me saying that she occasionally watched iPlayer. So I have relented for a further year. I didn't want to restart a direct debit so I have paid by…
