What's the max weight of paper/card for my printer?
I have a Brother DCP-J4120DW printer and the specs don't say what the max paper or card weight is acceptable. It just refers to 80gm paper, glossy photo card and index card. Any thoughts on how heavy I could go for? I'm hoping to print (through the rear A3 input tray) some family history charts and heavier grade would be…

Antivirus and whatnot for Windows 11 laptop
My wife has a new Windows 11 laptop which only she will be using, and that mainly for watching films on Prime, messing about with her photos, and web-surfing. She never goes near any dodgy sites, and is very switched-on about never downloading anything she's not sure of. Given that the laptop has Windows Defender, does it…

New computer settings
I have just purchased a new Lenovo Windows 11 computer which is to be delivered this Tuesday. There are few programmes downloaded on my present computer, Office, Roboform, ad blocker, and I prefer using Chrome for browser, which has a few extensions. I will obviously save my documents and photos, but is there a quick way…

Hard to read some emails on phone
I use my phone to check my emails every morning but find emails from certain organisations quite tedious to read if I access them using BT email via the BT website. The one below is the latest example. As it’s only a short message it’s not that much of a trial, but with longer emails containing what could be quite detailed…

Strikethrough on Outlook calendar on Galaxy mobile
I've posted this on the mobile forum but have had no response. I'm therefore posting it here and hope that it's OK to cross-post. I have the calandar that comes as standard with Galaxy phones. The icon is blue and it has a lower case 'a' on it. I think it's Outlook calendar. I'm trying to work out how to strike through an…

Signal strength on wireless home security cameras?
I've been asked to look out to see what's suitable. Obviously wired would be the best option but currently looking at wireless & then maybe that way no expensive installer needs to be called in. Looking to pick up an area of the house. Problem is it's probably as far from the router as you can get on the property. I'm not…

Samsung colour laser printer - model Xpress C430W - suddenly stopped working.
I have had this printer for several years, purchasing it from John Lewis in 2015. Once the original toner cartridges were empty I started using cartridges from Cartridge People and have continued to do so without problem - until now. In November 2017 HP acquired Samsung's printer business. Just after Easter this year,…

Hi all i am looking to buy a new PC for our small desk at home. I really dig those tiny form factor PC’s that are about the width of a breakfast cereal bowl and a couple of inches thick. iPhone Battery
Hi, My iPhone XR is not holding charge, goes flat even when not in use. Battery reports it has 86% life remaining. I charged to 100% and overnight the battery charge fell to 10%. I have turned off auto updates et al and tried to find any apps might be draining it. Any suggestions?

Bang & Olufsen Beolab 18 Oak Lamella Floor Standing Speakers - seriously?!
Just amooosed me as I idly searched for new speakers. These B&Os have - I think pretty obviously - been designed for aesthetics as the major priority, but I can accept they must also have 'decent' audio quality. But, many £k's worth of audio quality? They were nearly £10k new. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/256571971129?For a…

How often to charge battery?
Hello. I've got a Samsung Galaxy M13 had just over a year and was wondering what is the best routine to charge battery. I always run the battery down to single digit figures on my previous mobile. But l read somewhere you should only let the battery fall to 20% and charge up to 80/85%. Is this correct?
