Acer Aspire screens

Hi
I'm looking for a new W11 laptop to replace my old Acer Aspire E15.
Have been pleased with this so considering an Acer Aspire 3, i7, 16gb RAM, 1tb SSD.
Some reviews though seem to be saying that the screen is really bad and that they have returned it for a refund.
It's possibly a TN type rather than IPS like on my E15. Just wondering if anybody uses an Aspire 3.
Any help appreciated.

I recently bought a Acer Aspire 3 (A315-44P) 16GB Ram, 512GB drive, Ryzen 5
It has full HD IPS screen
I'm very pleased with it. Don't have much experience with newer laptops though so cant compare really.
My old laptop was about 12 years old, Hp Pavilion G61 -
I'll either go for that one but with a Ryzen 7 processor and 1tb SSD or an Acer Aspire GO 15 AG15-42P with the same.Aidanmc said:I recently bought a Acer Aspire 3 (A315-44P) 16GB Ram, 512GB drive, Ryzen 5

Not sure what the difference is but some reviews are not encouraging at all as far as the display goes.
I can't fault the one on my Aspire E15. I may need to go and have a look at a few in a store.

If you like your old one, don't throw it away when you get the new one. Put linux on it and it'll run just fine, as a backup machine. You may even find you prefer it to your new Windows machinedanrv said:Hi
