Her money is currently in a UK account, but she is only earning £65 per month interest. She is not particularly money savvy and doesn't know the…

SVS Securities - shut down?
I tried to access my account this morning and it just times out (eventually). There are some rumours online that it shut down yesterday, but it's not exactly plastered all over the place, and I've never heard of the sites carrying the rumours (so no idea how reliable they are).…

Trading 212 - missing bonus?
I put something into Trading 212 as one of the MSE top picks for savings in January this year. Unfortunately I did not make notes and the info they provide is very scanty. I believe the deal I got was a bonus (£100?) after six months but that time has passed and all I'm seeing on top of the original sum are the monthly…

my dad bought shares in my name over 30 years ago - is there a way to find them
He didn't do it out of the goodness of his heart and it wasn't for my benefit. He's long gone now, but I'm just wondering if there's some kind of database for share ownership? I've got a vague idea some were in Lloyd's Bank and BT but, ah me, it was such a long time ago

Tax and Profits
I have posted about how to make my money (all within ISA) work best for me - thank you for all the helpful replies, that was more straight forward for me as it was all tax free. However, as I have now used up my ISA allowance and I do not have 'partner/ spouse' to split the allowance'. I need to rethink of my options. As I…

The rule of 70 explained
What Is the Rule of 70? The Rule of 70 is a simple formula used to estimate the time it takes for an investment to double in size based on its growth rate, taking into account compounding interest over the years. By dividing 70 by the growth rate percentage, you can quickly determine the doubling time. How Do You Calculate…

More than one withdrawal daily from Chase Saver?
Hi, I've got a Chase Saver currently paying a boosted 4.55%. I thought I read somewhere that if you make more than one withdrawal per day you're penalised in some way but I'm not sure if I've made that up. Does anyone know if that's right? Thanks

What saving account is ideal for my savings? (£7,968)
Hi, I posted this elsewhere but its worth posting here. I've only just explored savings accounts, regrettably I wish I did this much sooner but was so confused by all the jargon. Fixed Rate Offers Declining
With a high probability of a further rate cut next week many of the best offers are quickly disappearing. It seems possible to delay funding some by up to 30 days at the moment, giving a chance to buy now with no downstream commitment But I remember shortly after the last rate cut there was a rate rebound so you would have…
