PPI - National & Provincial BS
Looking at a mortgage from N&P dating back 30 years(!). 1. I think I read on a thread on here that Santander are now responsible for any claims against N&P. Is that correct? 2. One of the payments is described on the mortgage offer from N&P as "Insurance Guarantee" (provided by Phoenix Assurance). Can anybody please…

Do I have PPI
We used a broker when we purchased our house in 1999 and the mortgage company insisted that we took out mortgage assurance. However, we had to take this out as a separate policy with the Scottish Provident, as it wasn't offered by the mortgage provider. My husband was/is self employed and the insurance doesn't cover him if…

Ppi repaid into the bank without an offer
Hi, several years back, my husband was persuaded by me to ring up about the ppi overdraft charges that were put on his bank account which had been going on for years. He didn’t know why but thought the payments were a necessary part of getting his overdraft. He spoke to someone in Ireland about his Barclays account. They…

I don't think I ever had any PPI...
Hi all. I am fairly sure I've never knowingly had PPI on any product; my wife is slightly less certain but says she may well have forgotten. I reckon there's a few percent chance that one of us actually did have some PPI at some point... We're both very time poor! Is there a half-decent claims management company to whom I…

Life Insurance mis-sold but still want product
I have a slightly strange situation. I believe that my life insurance was mis-sold to me when I took out my mortgage (Nationwide) in 2000. The mortgage was arranged by a RightMove broker who worked for the insurer. It is now Aviva, although I have a feeling that it was Legal & General back then, or at least some different…

Can I Claim PPI on Joint Mortgage?
I had a joint mortgage with my sister between 2001 and 2005, on which we had PPI. We were told at the time that it was compulsory in order to go ahead with the mortgage. I made a claim using the Resolver tool and was told that although I did have the PPI, I had previously made a claim which had been rejected. Actually, I…

The Best PPI Claim Companies Have Special Arrangements In Place
Hi All, On the PPI Claims and Advice website I saw this, “When you’re doing your research to find the best PPI claim company, check that they have negotiated with the main banks to give their clients privileges that individuals unfortunately don’t get when claiming on their own.” Is that true?

I needed to make a PPI claim using the Santander online form. I was using Chrome, but no options were given in the month of birth field. Does complusory home insurance linked to mortgage offer count as PPI
Hi, I am a newbie. In 1995 The Bradford and Bingley compulsorily made us take out their home insurance so we could get their best mortgage offer. It was locked in for the 5 years of the fixed mortgage term and was very expensive, negating any saving of the preferential mortgage rate. Does this count as mis-sold PPI? Thanks

What's the latest on PPI claim/statue barred debt?
Hi, Decided to claim before the window shuts and went with reclaimppi.co.uk. Unfortunately most of my finance was retail finance/store cards, and it turns out they don't pursue that. Can anyone recommend a company who do? My two biggest claims would be on credit cards: 1) Barclaycard. I lost my job and offered a reduced…
