Also, we currently have a 2 year old electric car, which was over £40,000 when new. What will the rate of road tax be after April 1st please.…

Petrol differentials
What is a fair difference to pay for super unleaded petrol. The service stations advertise the price of ordinary unleaded but you don't know the price of super until you are at the pump. I've paid 7p extra at Tesco and 19p extra at Morrisons!

Took my car to the garage and now it won't start! What are my options?
Hi. An amber engine warning light started to appear on my car's dashboard around two months ago. It was functioning ok, although there were some noticeable issues with it 'kangarooing' when moving up the gears too quickly if I accelerated hard (it's an automatic). I decided to bring the MOT and service forward by a month…

Hi, I am looking at getting a new car on Personal Contract Hire, and Santander Consumer Finance have given a really good quote - substantially cheaper than anyone else including the main dealers. I've just looked on Trustpilot though and they have lots of really bad reviews! They are part of the Santander group, so I can't…

Your Bangernomics successes

She decided to look into changing her car (used and on finance) and went to the dealer to have a look at one. She liked it and after the calculations had been done decided she could afford it so did…

Serviceing stop. Untrustworthy or worse?
Beware made up additional costs and work Firstly, the collection of my car was delayed twice without notice due to issues at the repair garage, causing a two-day delay. On the third attempt, it was taken to a different garage. The full service was eventually completed, and after driving approximately 30 miles, the vehicle…

PCP end of lease charges
Hi, I’ve just handed my car back after 2 years and I’ve been charged £750 for some ridiculous things. £200 for a missing cable when I only recieved one cable when I got the car. £400 for ‘poor repairs’ I’ve never had the car repaired so how on earth can I be charged for this? Apparently a poor repay has lead to dulling or…

No Advisory MOTs
I was watching a YouTube video recently where a car dealer was furious when someone suggested that a "no advisory MOT' from a car dealer wasn't a proper MOT.
