They used to have these expensive prices before and then youd have to use a 30% coupon to get an acceptable price. Now it seems, they dont care about hobbyists. they're going to charge use halfords prices for a trade service.
I used to buy h7 bulbs for £1.50 or therabouts. Now they are charging full retail at £4.50 a bulb.
I was going to begrudgingly pay it, but had a look at amazon and saw thet will sell me 2 for £5. So Now I just decided not to do any night driving and get it delivered from amazon and use the other bulb as a backup.
I have the same thing with oils, filters and other items.
Its no longer worth getting stuff from ecp unless youre really desperate. their prices are higher than online retail and they dont give any discounts.
Worse is the counter service is RIDICULOUSLY bad. like even if you do click and collect you can be waiting around 15+ minutes while they pick your order. I know service will vary between stores, but I had the same experience at 3 different ECP stores.
slooowwwww. there might be 6 people in the queue, but they will not get someone new out for the till.

I've never been a fan of ECP, carparts4less are usually a fair bit cheaper even though they're the same company. Or you could try GSF or Amazon or eBay, wherever's cheapest or most convenient.3

ECP discounts come and go - when the prices are higher, it's usually because they're building up to a big sale. My local ECP shop usually has a bit of a queue, but they do tend to get through it quite quickly. A can of red oxide primer is much cheaper at ECP than it is at Halfords, even with a Halfords trade card. I agree on cp4l, I've often used the ECP web site to source a part number and then search for it in CP4L to get a better price. The latter used to only be for postal deliveries, but I believe you can click and collect at ECP stores now. I dislike Amazon because of the ridiculous "tick here if you don't want to not sign up for a Prime account".0

the prices right now are just 5% less than halfords. halfords have retail space in retail parks, sometimes on high street. ecp are in trading estates and industrial estates and are mostly click and collect. their prices right now are a pisstake - because they are the only show in town.
