I am trying to work out if the cost of repairs now on my diesel Honda Civic Tourer (65 plate, 170,000 miles on clock) now outweighs getting a new car. Private sale Cat S not declared
Hi all, I recently purchased a car from a local man, asked if it had been subject to any write offs (having been burnt before) and he gave me the V5 document to show me it hadn’t (nothing shown). Paid his business account and went on my way. New V5 arrived and it’s a Cat S write off. I paid way over the odds for a Cat S…

Water hose or pressure washer
in my in my opinion it’s best to use a pressure washer as it’s easy to miss small amounts of dirt with just the hose and more water is released with the pressure washer!

Security suggestions for new BMW
I park my car on the street, in an area of South London that sees a fair amount of car thefts. It's a nearly new bright blue BMW so I'm realising I need to invest in some security. I'm looking at steering wheel locks but I assume they're only a visual deterrent, or to stop your basic car thief. I keep my keys upstairs…

Speed camera near J2 M25 towards Dartford tunnel
So I got caught speeding the other day… I’m not here to dispute that, it was a fair cop Guv, the reason I tell you that is because I’ve been driving super carefully ever since having got away with being able to do a speed awareness course. Anyhow, tonight I was on the M25 around junction two I reckon, and as I approached…

Can an airbag be disconnected in a 'conforming' way?
Hi.Situation is that a colleague has had an intermittent airbag/tensioner warning beep on start-up. poor quality windscreen from autoglass
I recently had a replacement windscreen fitted to my Volvo XC60 by Autoglass. When the screen is hit by direct sunlight incident at about 45 degrees to the direction of travel the faces of the embedded heating elements in the screen reflect the sunlight and the screen lights up with lots of bright dots. This is very…
