Is NUTSHELL any good ?

It is rated Defaqto 5 * - it is way cheaper than the alternatives on MSE !! (like 50% cheaper)

Anyone got cover through them - never heard of NUTSHELL - is it part of another company ?

Its another brand name of Budget Insurance, a large brokerage that also does a lot of white labelling for the likes of the PostOffice's car insurance

"nutshell insurance services is a trading name of BISL Limited."

They're one of the biggest, and they're behind a SHEDLOAD of other names. They're owned by MarkerStudy, who underwrite a huge proportion of insurance from all sorts of brands and brokers.

My mother was covered with Nutshell a couple of years ago - they seemed just fine, but of course there was no claim, so impossible to say how they'd handle that. Same as any of the other brands, I s'pose.

Something's not right - I paid for my car insurance and have not received any confirmation.
