Sold car at auction what next?
Going to the Gov.uk site to tell them I've sold car. But one question is: "Did I sell it to a motor trader or privately". Well, it was sold at a car auction... don't know who to. Does the auction count as a trader, which seems to be most likely. Or if the buyer was just an ordinary man the street do I put privately?

Asda Tyres - very poor service
I recently bought a tyre from Asda Tyres, and unfortunately the job went very, very badly. Their Customer Service have refused to help, so it looks like I may be suing them. They have lots of positive reviews on TrustPilot, but many of the more recent ones are poor. Just a heads up.

Car tax refund issues
Sorry if this isn't quite in the right place to post but basically I bought a car in Nov 2023 from a dealer and taxed it on the spot for a year (£180). We filled in all the sale paperwork etc but 2 days later I returned the car due to faults. I asked the dealer guy what would happen to the tax I paid and he told me I would…

Hi, I found out that my car while parked in my street was hit by another car, and they left their plastic wheel arch and some glass so definitely another car. Sold Car - V5 hasn't Transfered to new owner
I sold a pickup 4 weeks ago and posted off the V5 to the
DVLA with the new keepers details. As I live (very) rural Scotland I just had the car at the end of the road with a for
sale sign on it, and somebody popped in one day to ask about it, and
subsequently bought it – cash there and then, take it away just now. The…

I hired a van for 2 days Friday - Saturday (inc) the van was delivered by the hire company and collected but not collected until Tuesday after the rental period. What to expect in court for car accident
My partner had an accident a while back where someone reversed into the side of their car. It's been with a claims management company and now my partner is due in court tomorrow as no agreement could be reached on the liability. Both sides have submitted witness statements from the drivers and now it will be for the judge…

Help please - false accident allegation
Hi all, I got an email on 25 February 24 from my insurer saying I collided with an ‘unmanned parked car’, unknown time, unknown or unevidenced damage, on 19 January 24. I’ve had no accidents at all this year and followed up with a phone call and email with photographic evidence - my car albeit old is immaculate with no…

Cazoo extended warranties after administration
Now that they have gone into administration, does anyone know if extended warranties are still valid with Cazoo? I took mine out in July 2023, it includes RAC cover. I've received the email from Cazoo administrators saying that service plans should be cancelled. But I think that's different to the extended warranty. And if…

Hi I’m looking for some advice please. I have a blue badge. Where I work there is 4 blue badge parking spaces. It used to be anyone with a blue badge who works where I work can park there. Last year I took out breakdown cover with Dynamo. I suppose I should have known what I was getting myself into with them being so cheap. Anyway, as I was happy with their price last year I took out a new policy with them this for this year. Today I received an email from them saying that my policy from last year has auto…

Hi.C4 Picasso has started displaying an airbag/pretensioner fault, but of course it doesn't tell you which one. Tracker - leave or disconnect? Any advice?
Looking at a used RR which I’m told by the JLR dealer has a Scorpion tracker fitted. The car’s had four previous owners and there’s no paperwork to show when it was fitted. My concerns are that should I buy it and there be any electrical issues that could be linked to its installation it may invalidate any warranty claim.…

Leased Car Faulty - Warranty repair but no lead time
Hi I have a leased car (Personal), it's a vauxhall mokka electric car, it came up with a fault on the dash and said it needed to go in for repair. I took it to the local dealer - it has an issue with the main traction battery and requires it replaced. The part is on back order with no lead time. SO i'm paying £300 odd for…

Help re can't tax car..
Hi, I am currently away from home as flying on holiday tomorrow. My car tax is due 1st of June, and foolishly I didn't realise that I needed either the V5C or reminder letter with me. I had just "assumed" that I could just input the regs number and pay online. I am away until 20th June and car will be unused and parked on…
