Requesting help with car repair longevity
Hi folks, I wonder if I can ask your advice. I have searched the forum but not found anything conclusive. In February 2023 my car had two new rear suspension springs fitted because one had cracked and collapsed. The garage I used is a chain, not the OEM, and fitted a new part from Sachs. This morning I heard an unusual…

Driving after a bleed on the brain
Apologies if this isn’t the right place for this but I can’t seem to find an answer anywhere so hoping someone here might be able to help. I had a small subarachnoid haemorrhage at the beginning of November. No sign of any aneurysms and I was released from hospital two days later. I was told not to drive and to let DVLA…

Pulled over - alledged speeding
Hi, Hoping someone can help as most fines seem to be by getting caught by speed cameras or radar etc. A couple of weeks ago I was stopped by a police officer who claimed I was speeding on the motorway. He showed me dash cam footage and said, that's you in the distance, you can just see your tail lights. He said he was…

Valid rejection under Consumer Rights Act?
Hoping for some advice from anyone who may have experienced similar. My son bought a car from a used car dealership a few weeks ago. Hello Has anyone had a good result/experience after going down the small claims court route? Think I made a big boo boo with my Car Insurance decision.
Long story short, my wife had a minor collision in our 2015 Jeep Cherokee, just before Christmas just gone. Very quickly, after sending photos, the insurance company came back and said the car was a total loss (economical). I was shocked, quote was £6k for a minor bumper dent, cracked headlight (still works) and small dent…

Why is DVLA website shut after 7pm??
This is absolutely ridiculous. What if, due to circumstances, you want to sell or buy a car after 7pm (maybe in summer), you won't be able to notify DVLA until 7am the next day. Why isn't the website accessible 24/7? They don't have any 'humans' receiving the info so why not? Shocking.
