Rejection letter
Hi I am in process of taking used car back to dealership. It has serious issues with drive shaft. I have had it independently checked by a garage and got details of faults. I have e mailed rejection letter and sent hard copy which has been signed for. I am within my 30 day period to reject my question is if dealer refuses refund ( I paid 13k by bank transfer) how do I go about getting g money back

You would have to go via money claim online.
But be aware that if dealer shuts up shop, then you are on a hiding to nothing if they have no funds.Life in the slow lane0 -
It’s a major dealership over 400 cars I’m just expecting hassle0

I think the guidance says they should resolve the matter within 14 days.
If they don't then you send a letter before claim.
If they are a big dealership, this won't be their first time. You should find they respond positively.1 -
well we drove to garage and staff were rude we explained it was our right to reject the car as within 30 days. We told them we emailed Monday sent written documents which they signed for on Tuesday so we’re leaving the car. They said they would park it on street and leave keys in. We rang police they said they don’t deal incivil disputes. The garage rang police and they turned up. The garage is called Motorhub in Keighley, so you can work out what people we are dealing with. 2 tier police work at its peak absolutely disgusting. Looks like solicitors is next step0

Looks like solicitors is next stepMight be worth a read of the threads on Pistonheads to see what you’re dealing with - and that solicitors might be throwing good money after bad0 -

They also have some million pound cars on the lot, drug dealer specials, but you only need to look at the cheapest cars an outfit sells to assess the type of business they're running.1 -
We have been naive as thought we were getting a bargain, we are going to repair car ourselves as my mrs not got stomach for legal fight. We been going through house move which has been ongoing 8 months so this is just more stress. I would not of gotten sick of punching those 2 salesmen yesterday arrogant obnoxious !!!!!! houses. A harsh lesson learned0

A driveshaft can be easily replaced, usually fairly cheaply, and is not going to be grounds for rejection of a car.0
