To think my manager could have been more understanding?
I got a formal warning from my manager for being late to work on Friday. All ready to go out the door, my 4 year old daughter asks for a quick drink of milk, quickly got her a cup of milk and next minute she pours it all over me causing me to have to get changed again and then be late for work.

Maternity leave present being brought by a non-mum
I don't really know the person I would like to buy for hugely well, I just would feel wrong not getting them anything at all to mark the occasion. I did learn during these times there has been no real support/advise for first time mum's on breast feeding or the antenatal care so I was thinking of a self-help book to read…

Can my husband take half the value of my house?
My husband and I were together for 25 years but only married for 3. I was fortunate enough to win £200K eight years ago and we went from rented accommodation to the house I am in now with a mortgage on it of £76K. He has recently left me for another woman - the house is in my name only. Given that I bought it with money…

Divorce - Step by Step
Hi,I'm looking to issue a petition for divorce. We have only briefly discussed division of assets and not agreed anything as yet. Free app for house chores and pocket money?
I recently came across the Rooster app, which allows you to set chores and award pocket money, which I thought was a fab idea - saves a lot of arguing about exactly what I asked DS to do & when he last did it etc... It costs £14.99 per year to be able to use full functionality though - do you know of any free options at…

My son of 26 is moving back with me how much do I charge?
So currently I am working but also receiving UC to have my rent paid for but when he comes back he will be classed as a dependant and my rent will no longer be paid for I'm assuming? This would mean I would be considerably out of pocket if this is true so what I'm trying to figure out is a rate I should charge. As long as…

The end of maternity leave draws near, preparing to be a better organised working mum!
This Spring I'll be returning to work from maternity leave, both of us are planning to reduce our hours equally to combine work and childcare but several months as a primary care giver to our baby while my husband is working full time have left me carrying a huge amount of 'mental load' a concept I came across in this…
