Saving for Children - advice?!
Hi all Myself and my husband are currently saving up to start a family - we budget well, and can fit to a set amount of money however, given we have recently moved house, our savings have depleted slightly (and finances have increased slightly, given it's a bigger house). I am lucky in that if I were lucky enough to have a…

Toilet training problems
First of all I apologise for posting as I'm sure there's a thousand different threads on this subject :o My daughter has just turned 3 and for the last year (pretty much exactly) she has been dry and using the toilet which is great. However for whatever reason she is still not mastering doing a poo on the toilet. I know it…

Stay at home mom working?
Hi all, I work fulltime and my partner is a stay at home mom to 2 kids (youngest is 2yo). We just about cut even rarely and commonly go into the overdraft at other times (maybe that's just what happens when you have kids? :) ) I was wondering if any moms/families here know if it is worth the partner going back to work…

My ex owes me money
Hi! I'm after a bit of advice... I recently split with my partner and he owes me a lot of money. He was supposed to have been paying me back £100 a week until it was paid off and failed to do that even when we were together. Now we have split, he said he would still give me the £100 a week. I've had nothing. He's planned…

Tenancy in common advice please
Hello, I wasn’t really sure which board to post on, but here goes. My husband and I owned our previous house together as Tenants In Common. We started out buying it together as normal, then when we had paid off the mortgage, he had a Notice of Tenancy In Common Amendment drawn up giving him a share of 66.67% and me a share…

Buying an Isofix base when car seat is not compatible with pram?
Hi I'm currently pregnant with our first baby and am torn as to whether or not to buy an isofix base for the car or not. I was very kindly given a car seat by my sister (Silver Cross Simplicity) as her little one has now outgrown it. We had already bought our pram when she gave it to us (iCandy Peach) and so the car seat…

Divorce situation
So, filing for divorce. I want to know what they chances are of a charge being put on the house (what I'm hoping for)? Quick run down: mortgage, a young child. His whole family live locally, none of mine. He doesn't want anything inside the house. He wants to force the sale. Me and my child would then be homeless, or put…

Divorce costs
I have been legally separated from my husband for over 2 years. Our separation agreement states that the costs of divorce proceedings shall be met by the husband and wife equally. However, I didnt ask for the divorce and as agreed would pay half of the £550 for the court. I don’t see why I have to pay half his solicitors…

Not sure what too do or what my options are. I'm just pregnant, and have a loan. I'm only entitled to statutory maternity pay. This will not be enough to cover my Loan and other bills. My loan has 29 payments left on it. I'm not sure what the best thing to do is. Does anyone have any advice please? Concerned about this.

Who pays what in divorce?
Hi, I'm hoping for some advice for my cousin. Her and her husband are really not in a good place, and literally everyone agrees that they should split up.
