Tesco mobile - voicemail doesn’t work
I recently changed to Tesco mobile and now I can’t use voicemail. If I try to access it or leave myself a message all I get is a series of beeps. Had endless online chats with their support. We’ve turned on voicemail; turned off voicemail; turned off the phone; turned on the phone, etc, etc. Finally got asked to wait 24…

PAYG data which doesn't expire
I'm looking for something that probably doesn't exist, but I'm hoping someone here will know. I do a lot of travelling and hiking around Scotland and Ireland, including areas where mobile coverage is patchy. My phone is currently on Vodafone, and supports dual SIMS (one physical, one eSIM). I would like an eSIM PAYG mobile…

Talkmobile destroyed my credit rating on switching - because I pay form my families phones!
I just transferred from Vodafone to TalkMobile - I explained I pay for all my family's phones. They said I could manage them from one account view just the same - but then added 5 new credit lines to my reported credit file overnight. My score dropped from excellent to fair - I complained and then said ' it's because we…

Roaming failure
I'll be in Europe for the next week, and have just tried calling back to the UK. This failed with a voice message saying that international calls are barred. I'm with 1pMobile, and I thought that roaming was free with their service. Has this changed recently? Or maybe there is a phone setting I need to change? I have a…

April due to 30-day notice period. 03/06/2024 – noticed I had been billed for May…

I’ve just received an email from Lebara confirming that Wi-Fi calling and VoLTE are now available, and the services are being rolled out in phases. I’m apparently one of the first customers to use these features. If you haven’t received notification, you should do very soon.

Lebara Mobile Wi-Fi Calling Problems - Think Twice Before Using Them!
Well after being with Plusnet/EE mobile for many years and having great service, I was forced to look for a new provider due to Plusnet ending their service. Shopped around and decided that Lebara SIM only was the way to go. Due to living in a village with a poor Vodafone signal, wi-fi calling was a must. Initially this…

Securing Google accounts whilst phone unlocked
Afternoon. I recently read a thread whereby someone had their phone stolen with it unlocked (whilst being used), and it got me thinking about how to protect my google accounts (gmail/drive), if my phone were snatched whilst taking photos, for example. Currently, I appear to be logged in all the time, and i just tap the…

EE/02 - Default and handset issue
Hi all, I'm here to seek some advice. I have got myself into a lot of debt of which I now cannot afford. The latest issue which has tipped me over the edge is taking out multiple mobile contracts with EE and 02 and then selling on the device for quick cash on eBay. I was desperate and unable to get a loan. I'm now at a…

Cheap calls to USA
Several of the deals suggested by MSE are somewhat better than my current deal. But on my current deal I can buy an extra/addon that gives reduced cost calls to the USA, which is important to me. On looking at the suggested deals, I didn't find it easy to see if any of them offered cheap US calls as an extra. Has anyone…

Talkmobile roaming in the EU
When Talkmobile say they offer free roaming in the EU, does that include free calls/text to local numbers in EU countries? Or can you only call/text UK numbers while in a EU country? I have been trying to contact them but I can't, and all their examples just so happen to refer to calling/texting UK numbers.

True PAYG, no "monthly plan"?
Hi everyone, I'm trying to find a good old fashioned PAYG deal. I need a sim card, to add £10 to it, then put it in a spare mobile phone for my Mum to use as an emergency phone in case something happens to hers. It may never get used, which is why I don't want a monthly SIM Only plan, which every provider seems to be…
