Cash ISA option advice please
Hi all. I have 80K already in an ISA and am just coming out of a 1 year deal. I have also 20K ready to put in for my entitlement this year. I do not need to touch my 1st 80K, so can lock it away and prefer to leave it in a Cash ISA. I think my options are: a) Put 80K into 1yr fix at 5% b) Put 80K into 5yr fix at 4% (ish) -…

£85k fscs protection & ISA / JISA
I've got a s&s isa with vanguard and my two sons have jisa also with vanguard which appear in my online portal as I opened them. Between us we will soon breach £85k. I presume we have 3x £85k in this situation?

Not happy about info in latest email.
Nor am I any of the other 6 dwarves, but anyway... Not really the email fault, more confusion with me and first use of the trading212 app. Latest email does indeed say that trading212 is not accepting any new transfer in from an existing ISA, so I went looking and installed the trading212 app and created a new account. I…

My one year fixed rate isa has just closed, I have already invested in one for this year with the £20000, full amount, what can I do with last years, can I transfer it to a new one or do I have to stay with who it is at the moment?

Redundant Help to Buy ISA and maintaining the ISA wrapper status of it's funds
Dear Forumites, I have a maxed out Help-To-Buy ISA which I'll never use for the intended purpose. I thus want to close it, albeit whilst maintaining the ISA wrapper status of the funds within through transferring them elsewhere, ideally into a normal Cash ISA. When I contacted Yorkshire Building Society (YBS) today, they…

More than a year ...?
I'm a little late investing my ISA funds this year. Hoping to invest the full £20k. What are your views on fixed cash ISA longer than a year - there are some good 2 year fixes out there - who has a crystal ball and has a view on this?

Help to buy ISA and new ISA rules
I have a Help to buy ISA which I have had for several years with the maximum bonus balance of £12,000 (so I will not be adding to it, due to better interest rates elsewhere). If I am correct, it is classed as a 'cash ISA', so does this mean the changes to ISA rules allow me to open another cash ISA alongside this? Thanks.

Paying into a cash isa
Just wanted to check on my understanding of the new Isa rules. I have paid £19 k this 24/25 tax year into an existing cash isa which is due to mature in December 24. Can I open another two new cash ISAs now, and pay £500 (into an easy access) and another £500 ( into a fixed rate ) which will effectively use my remaining…

CGT and Isa
When working out your average buying price of a fund for CGT do you include the price bought in an ISA account. I am aware no tax is payable on the ISA held funds but also have some of the same fund (Vanguard life strategy 60) outside of the ISA that I want to sell and but back to use this years CGT. Thank you.

Previous isa's
Hello I wanted to move my Help to Buy ISA, from last year, into a better/higher interest rate H2B account but open a brand new Cash ISA with my own bank. If I don't deposit any more money into my H2B ISA can I still transfer my current H2B ISA into a new bank account and deposit new cash into a new ISA bank account?

HSBC Cash ISA - delay in opening
I have had a current account with HSBC for many years. I am attempting to open a 1-year fixed rate cash ISA. HSBC have all my personal details, there are ample funds in my current account to fund the deposit for the cash ISA. Why then do HSBC say "it make take 5 (or 7 or 10, depending which bit on their web site you read)…

Cash ISA withdraw terms
I'm trying to make sense of the terms of my Moneybox Cash ISA. Its hard to get a clear understanding. My question is with withdrawing. My interest is paid annually and its easy access. Q I believe if I withdraw now, my interest would be paid at the point of withdrawl? Or would it be paid after the year is up? OR if I dont…

Fixed Rate ISA moving abroad
I am British and was resident in the UK at the time of opening a Fixed Rate ISA with a well known and established financial institution. CHIP CASH ISA
From reading all the literature, CHIP say they pay interest on their Cash ISA on the 4th of every month, but it's now the 5th and mine is still showing as Pending. I've messaged them but they can take a few days to reply. I was considering transferring in money from another ISA, but have doubts about their reliability if…
