Hand Sanitiser
Hi all. Has anyone been able to get any over the last week or so? If so, from where? They are out of stock everywhere near me. Is it just a case of buying them off eBay or Amazon now? Is there a way of making my own or something similar? I know hand washing with soap and water is the best but it's not always possible.

Has anyone had Tier 3 weight management? If so, how did you find it and what was it like?
Hi all, Basically I've been referred to a Tier 3 weight management in Cambridgeshire for my obesity issues. I have an appointment for June 17th (hopefully this Sunday will be the announcement of lockdown being eased). It's a shame really no one told me about the Tier 3 weight management; I had to find the service myself…

Are Supplements Recommended?

Dental treatment in Europe after COVID border lockdowns
There are some flights already, but once it's easier again to fly, I'm planning to have quite extensive dental treatments done abroad. I'm thinking of Hungary, Turkey or Poland so far where I'm happy to travel a few times and enjoy the holiday at the same time. Those who had it before, what are the most important factors…

Best hand cream moisturiser
With the extra hand washing I've been doing recently my hands are now cracked and red raw, I've always normally had issues with dry, chapped hands. What do you guys recommend as a decent hand repair/moisturiser cream, particularly something I can use in the day without leaving greasy marks form whatever I touch.

Boots Sleepeaze- Aldi clone
Along similar lines to their cosmetics clones aldi are now selling an exact replica of boots herbal sleeping tablets at around half the price. You can buy as many packs as you like (£1.99 for 30 tabs,) as no nasties in them. I’ve used skeepeaze for years with great success so stocked up for many more nights (cheaper)…

Crown fell out
With it being bank holiday and then the weekend, I can't phone the dentist for advice. My crown fell out of a molar, the remains of which are probably best described as a tooth shape but with the whole of the middle very much hollowed out, and the sides above the gumline are maybe half the height of a normal tooth. (I've…

Restrictions on repeat prescriptions
I went to pick up my repeat prescriptions from Boots and usually I have two months supply but was told by the pharmacist that the government has now put restrictions on repeats. I spoke to my gp surgery who informed me that the government put these restrictions in place since Coronavirus. I wasn’t told about this and as I…

Haircuts
How is everyone else managing right now? As a woman with short hair and a fringe I'm now starting to look like a Yeti (just when I am more in need than normal of looking normal - with all this Lockdown going on). I've gathered there are a few bootleg hairdressers out there - so have been trying to find one unsuccessfully.…

Any females on here had laser hair removal?
Hello everyone, Once I lost the excessive weight I carry, I will be getting laser hair removal. My GP told me because I have a lot of excessive weight (and PCOS) that my body produces a lot of male hormones. Therefore, I grow excessive hair as well. Once I've lost the weight, I'm going to be getting laser hair removal. I…

Help! Dry/Itchy Hands
Having to use soap and sanitiser so frequently has dried the tops of my hands out and they have become incredibly itchy. I have tried nivea cream and O’Keefes working hands cream but nothing is taking away the extreme itch. Is there an anti itch cream I can get on amazon or in store for dry itchy hands? Even when warm…

Dental implants- implication of delay in process
I’m midway through having two dental implants. The actual implants were placed in early February and I was due to have an appointment last week for “exposure of implants” Obviously, due to the current situation, this didn’t happen and I have no idea when my treatment may resume. At the time of making last weeks appointment…

Can a permanent dental bridge be removed?
Hi all. As the thread title mentions, is it possible to remove a permanent, cemented dental bridge for whatever reason, that's been on the teeth for a few years, Would it be a painless, easy procedure? And the same for a permanent, cemented crown that's been on a tooth for years. Thanks.

Mother has recevied a dentistry charge from the NHS,
Hi everyone, My first time here, I hope I am posting in the right place and need some help. So my mother who is 75 had a dental inspection 19/12/19 and treatment on 30/12/19 at our local NHS dentist. The total cost was £150.00. In the practice, a new receptionist asked my mother "do you receive pension credit?" to which…

Creams and lotions in pump bottles - a rant and an appeal
I know why companies put creams and lotions into hard plastic bottles with pump dispensers: people like them. I do too. When the pump dispenser is working properly it's easy to get the desired amount of cream out of the bottle. It feels slightly 'swish' to do so. But the waste! It's criminal. When the bottle gets down to,…

Hair tips
I had my final straw with hairdressers years ago when I was tricked into having my hair styled and paid for it and have never been in a hairdresser since. Not as bad as you think because I am a qualified hairdresser so........ I have cut everything from long hair to short bobs on myself with this <3…
