Crown fell out

With it being bank holiday and then the weekend, I can't phone the dentist for advice. My crown fell out of a molar, the remains of which are probably best described as a tooth shape but with the whole of the middle very much hollowed out, and the sides above the gumline are maybe half the height of a normal tooth. (I've tried taking a photo but can barely get the angle right to see the tooth, let alone get it in focus.)
Basically I'm posting to ask if there are any precautions I should be taking other than not eating hard foods on that side and keeping it as clean as possible?

gargle with salt? Recommended when I had a molar out and there was a raw gum line to prevent infection0

When it happened to me on a bank holiday weekend some years ago, the emergency dentist suggested I try gluing the crown back in p!ace with Fixodent or chewing gum (!) until I could make an appointment.
The Fixodent was surprisingly good.I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0 -
Thanks everyone0
