Boots Sleepeaze- Aldi clone

Along similar lines to their cosmetics clones aldi are now selling an exact replica of boots herbal sleeping tablets at around half the price. You can buy as many packs as you like (£1.99 for 30 tabs,) as no nasties in them. I’ve used skeepeaze for years with great success so stocked up for many more nights (cheaper) sleep!!

Sleepeaze isn't a 'herbal' remedy. It's an antihistamine. The same thing you'd take for allergy relief.

The medicines for allergy relief have quite a spectrum of effectiveness against allergy vs the drowsiness caused. This particular one, Diphenhydramine Hydrochloride, tends not to be used for allergy, as it's not the most effective, and it can make people pretty drowsy.

It is pretty safe - but it's not like popping Smarties, there are cautions you should observe.

I did find when I used them for a period a few years ago, whilst they knocked me off to sleep - I would wake up after a few hours, and I did feel pretty tired the day after using them.

Nytol Herbal is a herbal sleep aid - But Nytol Original is just like Sleepeaze.

I am a poor sleeper especially in strange beds (ie hotels!) and have used original Nytol on occasion. I find the after affects quite unpleasant. Dry mouth and a feeling of dopiness the next day IYKWIM.

I'm a terrible sleeper, I think it is being a mother of 4 with big age gaps, the eldest was 21 when the youngest was born, so I seemed to be dealing with sleepless nights with little ones for years mixed in with listening for teenagers coming in late. I've tried taking things like this but they just make me feel so tired the next day, it is worse than the tiredness from not getting enough sleep.


If I have a good night it is so wonderful it is almost worth all the bad nights.

There's a herbal version of Sleepease. The Aldi tablets appear to be the same as the Boots Sleepease Herbal.

Boots Sleepease (normal) are the same as Nytol (normal). Both are pharmacy-controlled, and so wouldn't be on the shelf at Aldi.

Marley doesn't find any of the herbal variety to be effective.

Sleepeaze comes in herbal and non-herbal as far as im aware the herbal one doesnt contain any meds so is safe to take regularly, ive taken the one with medication in it and it didnt agree with me, felt groggy the next day etc but the herbal one is great!

Boots Sleepeaze Herbal Tablets. Tried them some time ago but found them as much use as a chocolate fireguard.

Just to mention, for anyone going to Spain soon now that holiday season is upon us, there is a product called "Dormidina" and it is as a PP said, a drowsy antihistamine.

Wonderful stuff, but I would break the tab in two. Best nights sleep I ever had was taking this stuff. (half recommended dose). Totally not addictive and obviously available over the counter.

Piriton is the same here.
