Morrisons 4 for the price of 3 ales - Not available when I log in... Glitch?
Hi I'm doing my first Morrisons on line order. Have done plenty before using other supermarkets but not Morrisons. Before logging in, most ales are in their 4 for 3 offer: https://groceries.morrisons.com/offers/buy-4-products-for-the-price-of-3-1006644756 But once I log in they are all normal price and the 4 for 3 doesn't…

Trolley closing unless funded
I am gutted to hear Trolley, the supermarket comparison website is closing. They say that they have to pay for the data now and are asking for donations from people and companies. It would be great to save this valuable money saving tool. I am wondering whether MoneySavingExpert could either make a donation or even take…

£10 off £75 voucher
I'm not a new customer but been given this from Sainsbury on a paper voucher. Is this a good deal? My normal weekly spend doesn't equate to this much but I could stock up. Is this worth it? I know new customers get £15 off 60

Waitrose Hobnob rip off £1.60, other supermarkets £1.19.
Price at Waitrose went up recently from £1 a packet to £1.30 and now £1.60. Put it down to increased price of oats and wheat, EXCEPT on checking Tesco, Sainsbury and Morrisons are all or very close to £1.19 a packet. So are Waitrose being charged more than other supermarkets to stock Hobnobs or is it unwarranted…

Stockpiling - Is it worth getting a Costco card?
Hi, I'm leaving my local government job to return to university for a year. My husband will still be working and I have 4 children. I am starting to stockpile tinned food, while I still have an income. My question is, I can currently get a Costco Card for around £30 (for a year), is it worth it? Also, any tips for…

Asda home delivery
I have been getting a shop ready to be delivered by Asda. On putting a tin of Heinz soup into my trolley I noticed that the price of it is £1.20. The price in store is 90p. I contacted Asda and was told that online costs can be different to store prices. I have never known this before for an Asda shop so it is something to…

Why do Moneysavingexpert Sainsbury's voucher codes sent by email never work for me?
I've just spent 20 minutes talking to someone in another country who's never heard of Moneysavingexpert that I'll never get back, trying to sort out why codes sent in Martin's weekly email never work for me? Can someone possibly tell me what the problem is? When I add the item to my basket and then add the code at the…

Morals and ethics from Supermarkets
Hi chaps, whilst I appreciate that this site is about saving money I read that the boss of Sainsburys is giving himself a big pay rise whilst paying his staff as little as possible. Makes me want to not by from his store and made me wonder, is there a table of good shops that respects workers rights, animal welfare, buying…

Greengrocers selling fruit & veg in bowls. Is it a scam?
With all the talk of weights and measures today, possibly going imperial as well as metric, I've been thinking about greengrocers. They always used to sell by weight, but many now sell by the bowl. I feel that this must work heavily in favour of the greengrocers otherwise so many wouldn't have turned to this method. Has…

Strange hot cross bun & Easter egg flavours
Starting to see a few intriguing flavours pop up in shops in the lead-up to Easter. MSE James spotted this Co-op 'Hot Cross Bun Egg': I bought a Cadbury's Dairy Milk Hot Cross Bun bar from Poundland a few weeks ago (it was very tasty). (Keep in mind that luxury eggs and luxury hot cross buns don't tend to be MoneySaving -…

Where has all the Aunt Bessie's Chips gone?
Are there supply issues with Aunt Bessie's Homestyle oven chips at the moment? I've not been able to get any from either of my local Sainsbury's or Morrisons for a while now. The last packet I did buy had a "new recipe" label on them and they were a definite step backward, I wonder if this has anything to do with Sunflower…
