Iceland 10% Tuesday for over 60's

We've just been shopping at Iceland and took advantage of the 10% off for over 60's.
A lady in front of us at the till was asking if it applied to alcohol and gift vouchers which you can buy in store.
The till operator didn't know.
Has anyone tried this and been successful ?

Over 60s discount

Terms of Use

·    For England, Wales & Scotland any customer aged 60 years or over (with valid proof of identification, as specified below) is entitled to receive 10% off the purchase price of qualifying goods purchased in store at any participating Iceland, The Food Warehouse or Swift store.

·    For Northern Ireland any customer aged 60 years or over (with valid proof of identification, as specified below) with a registered Bonus Card is entitled to receive 10% off the purchase price of qualifying goods purchased in store at any participating Iceland or The Food Warehouse store.

·    The 10% discount is only available on a Tuesday, during store opening hours.

·    Valid proof of identification must be shown at the point of purchase in order to receive the over 60s 10% discount, which shall include any one of the following:

1.   Senior Bus Pass.

2.   Driver’s License.

3.   The Senior Railcard.

4.   Freedom Pass.

Discount is available in store only. Discount cannot be used online or at The Range stores.

·    The 10% discount cannot be used in relation to any purchases of alcohol in Northern Ireland, Scotland or Wales.

·    Excludes purchase of carrier bags, Bonus Card savings and any selected in store promotions.

·    The over 60s discount cannot be used in conjunction with any other discount.

·    ‘Bulk’ purchases of 6 or more of any one product will not qualify for the discount. Any goods purchased are strictly not for resale.

·    Discount available for one purchase only in a single transaction.

·    Iceland shall not be held responsible for any computer or equipment failure, which results in the 10% discount in-store not being applied.

·    Iceland reserves the right to withdraw, terminate or temporarily suspend the discount in whole or in part at any time.

·    Redeeming the 10% discount in-store shall be deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions.
