Andrex/Sainsburys (and other supermarkets?) con
Andrex have introduced a new 9 roll classic mega pack with 50% extra. With my basic maths skills that equates to the equivalent of 13.5 rolls. Not surprisingly the price of the new pack is the same as the previous 16 roll pack. Inflation, fuel costs or the war in Ukraine?

Nectar offers points not showing for last few online shops
Just a heads up for anyone buying from Sainsbury's online and taking up the weekly Nectar points offers... I keep an eye on my build up of Nectar points, especially this time of year, as I use them to stock up on wine in one of the end of year 25% off offers. Looking on my Nectar 'Activity' page, the last 4 of my online…

Best Before Dates
In my local shop I picked up a Nutrigrain bar and noticed the BBD was nearly 2 months ago. I told the shop keeper and we noticed that the whole box was dated the same so he removed the box from the shelf. That was last week. This morning I’ve noticed the exact same box has been put back on the shelf for sale! What should…

Cashback at checkout?
Do any supermarkets still do cashback at the checkouts (withdrawing money whilst paying for your shopping, not the cashback money saving sites)? I can't seem to find up to date info on which shops do or don't do this now.

Aldi fruit
Anyone else noticed the quality of the fruit in Aldi is poor? I've been using Aldi for years and love most of the products but the last few times I've bought fruit I've been really disappointed. Vegetables are fine Luckily I've got a local greengrocer!

BOGOF Deals?
There was a discussion on Channel 5 yesterday to discuss whether BOGOF deals should be banned. No one appeared to know that these deals are virtually non existent these days. Not seen one for ages and would think they will remain in the distant past. The presenter of the discussion also presents Secrets of your Supermarket…

Morrisons Payment Failed
Morrisons cancelled my delivery today as my bank had not authorised the payment (mastercard). Bank said Morrisons had not sent through the correct ccv details. The card has been on my account for over 2 years and I have not changed the details. Rang Morrisons this morning and the woman said that they knew there was a…

Anyone know where I can buy Skinny Sauce sweet chilli?
This stuff is amazing, and I've tried most of their range. Some are awful, some are mediocre, but this one was the best. Then aldi stopped doing it - they do ketchup, and burger relish (?!) and bbq now, which is the worst of them, but no sweet chilli I went next door to iceland, they have a bigger range, including some…

Aldi food not fresh
Thought I’d give Aldi another go and stocked up on lots of fruit and veg. Same problem as last time that the items begin to spoil after a few days in the fridge. This is why I’m not a big fan. It seems like a false economy if half of it ends up in the bin. Have others had the same experience?

What can be done about Deliveroo
Over the last two years I have had continuous missing items when I request refunds these are declined . I let this go as was a few pounds here and there . Yesterday was the straw that broke the camels back as I again was declined a refund for missing items - I eventually received refund after speaking to a colleague . I…

Differences in meat and fish at different supermarkets?
Does anybody have any knowledge about how the standard and welfare quality of meat and fish differs between supermarkets? I recently started eating meat again for health reasons after having been vegetarian. The standard of the meat and the welfare of the animal is very important to me. I intend to try to find a local…

S-burys Crackers misprice?
I just added some of these to my online shop for 40p. Given that they're around £5 in W'rose I think it's a misprice but worth a shot that they'll honour it https://www.sainsburys.co.uk/gol-ui/product/thomas-fudges-a-sublime-selection-of-sourdough-biscuit-for-cheese-260g

Waitrose Ethics
Waitrose broke competition rules and acted against the interests of shoppers to prevent rival supermarkets from opening near its own stores, regulators have found. Waitrose criticised over unlawful deals with landlords to shut out rivals (msn.com) I always thought their corporate ethics needed scrutiny and good ESG…

Tesco tea.
There is something different about tesco's red box tea bags. They taste weak and have a bitter after taste. I usually use boiling water, leave for 3 minutes, then add sugar and milk. I tried again an hour later, and this time I let the boiling water stand for a minute. I then poured it in the cup, and sampled the aroma. It…
