With some supermarkets already making space for Easter eggs (
) It's the time that Christmas products are marked down to rock-bottom prices.
What bargains have you spotted on your travels? Which reduced items do you find hard to resist?
Normally I take full advantage of the reductions at this time of year and fill the cupboards with snacks to last through to the summer but I will be a bit more selective this year for health reasons!
I haven't yet ventured out to the supermarkets since Christmas Eve, but even then I was able to pick up half-price brandy butter at Aldi, and I also went into a Waitrose store with many Christmas bargains.

* Some supermarkets use red (or plain white) shelf-edge labels for reductions, but you get the idea

Got a fresh turkey crown for £5 and 2 packs of pigs in blankets for 10p each from Asda , in freezer for Easter.
Got some cocktail sausages and 12 small chicken/steak pies for 70p each from Lidl , in freezer for snack food on new years eve .
Didn't see any "non food " bargains to tempt me

I'd heard that Asda were selling big tubs of Quality Street for £2; in previous years they have given away their Christmas veg to avoid the rot. Nothing in my local although Christmassy deserts were all 1/2 price. Apart from the stollen, SEL said 62p but the till disagreed.
Chessboards on slates in Morrisons for just £3 yesterday. Just about worth it for the cheese value, the slates will have other uses I am sure.

In between my bank holiday duties on the MSE Forum I went for a quick scoot round the local supermarkets - Waitrose, Iceland, Sainsbury's Local, Lidl and Tesco Express (plus Wilko). Here are a few of my findings:
Waitrose - mince pies half price
Waitrose - half price sweets
Waitrose - cheese
WIlko - marzipan icing redacted from £5.50 to £2
Iceland - a third off Christmas cheeses
Sainsbury's Local - half price brandy cream
Lidl - a third off marzipan bars
Tesco Express - biscuit selections reduced
Tesco Express - Christmas cake reduced from £11 to £5
Tesco Express - recyclable Christmas crackers half price

Picked a box of mince pies up for £10 -

Has anyone noticed this year that the Xmas meat etc thats normally reduced to go very quickly is still expensive, or is it just me?
Had some good bargains in Asda on chocolate etc. Tesco had Xmas roll wrap for 75p/roll. Sainsburys wasnt that good for bargains. Wilco had half price panettones. Lidl and Aldi had Xmas puddings reduced but not dirt cheap.FTB - April 20201
