People might be interested in this price comparison tool from the ONS ... https://www.ons.gov.uk/economy/inflationandpriceindices/articles/shoppingpricescomparisontool/2023-05-03 It compares prices of food items that you select for your 'basket' to the prices 12 months ago.

I know best before dates have come up before and we have a couple of ongoing threads comparing supermarkets, but rather than distracting I thought perhaps a 'quick' thread would be best. I buy all of my vegetables from Sainsbury's and apart from onions they are pre-packed. I try to pick the freshest but it is often…

Toilet roll is quite expensive considering I use it to w.. alright without details. I used to be buying 9 rolls tesco value for £1.90 but I haven't seen it in store or online for ages, I assume they don't do it anymore. Toiler roll usage in my house is quite high so I'm looking for best quantity/quality value for money. I…

Ok, so I buy fuel at Tesco and always get an exact amount...£30, £40...not £29.99 or £30.01. . My issue is that almost every time I pay, my points are wrong. Example..this weekend. £40 spent, the receipt says qualifying spend is £39.99 so points are 19 instead of 20. They always put it right and it's only one point but…

Hi everyone, I have just recieved my second 5p off per litre Coupon, but it has the wrong name on it. I am NOT "Brian Triggol" Has anyone else had a badly named coupon? I have checked my account and the details are still correct, therfore I have not been hacked.

As someone who has been baking my own bread for almost four years, I long ago opted to use the LIDL Belbake brand, for two reasons, first having used all manner of other more expensive brands I could tell no difference in quality or taste of the finsihed loaf, and secondly the cost of LIDL Belbake was far lower that of the…

Has anyone found that cashback for Tesco Online Food delivery is not appearing automatically on their NX Rewards Payment Report? Cashback for all my other online purchases appear automatically and I am delighted. I ALWAYS access Tesco via NX Rewards but although I am finding that my Tesco 'visit' to book my slot is listed…

https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/news/2023/april/sainsburys-nectar-prices-loyalty-card/ I've had a look at some of the 300 products with 15% to 60% discounts https://www.sainsburys.co.uk/gol-ui/offers/nectar-prices. What do people think? They are primarily mainstream brands and I am such a scrooge I will probably stick to…

Tesco’s finest Prosecco is usually £8.50 a bottle but it’s down to £6.50 a bottle if you use your clubcard. If you buy 3 or more bottles you get 25% off as well which makes them £4.88 a bottle at the moment. https://www.tesco.com/groceries/en-GB/products/262309747

£10/ kg ! This is well below usual prices i have paid (normally around £14/kg). If you haven't tried this blend before: it is a smooth, mild (4/5) brew, a nice gentle start to the day!

Husband is correct weight for his height and age and doesn't have diabetes, heart disease etc. Nevertheless, GP has told him to cut out salt and cut down on processed food. We hardly eat any but I have found Nitrate and Nitrite free bacon. Anyone tried it ? 3.25 for 12 rashers of smoked or 6 of back doesn't seem too bad.

This relates mostly to Lidl but also to Aldi, as that is where I do most, if not all shopping these days. With food prices rising weekly, I am finding that these supermarkets are not displaying accurate prices for groceries. It seems that every week there are issues with my receipt, and I either have to suck it up and…

Being charged twice at ALDI doesn't appear to be an experience unique to us, indeed the thread on this forum dates back to 2014 and elsewhere on the web, indicates it is a not infrequent occurrence for people across the country. I noted the duplicate payment on our banking app and returned to the store (Northampton) a…

Asda have removed the expiry dates from sealed bags of kale. This is a problem for me, as I have severe food intolerances and kale is one of the few green vegetables I can eat. In a week, I usually go through 4 bags. In the past, I'd always buy the ones with the later dates and they'd last a whole week. But now, their…

Who knew that you don’t get the meal deal or wine discount at all if one of your items from your online order is unavailable on the delivery day? I’ve been buying the £12 meal deal and 25% off 6 x wine for ages but only noticed this week. I ordered 6 bottles of wine and on the delivery day one bottle was not available so…

Good Evening If anyone shops at Sainsbury’s online you might know they have some serious issues this week. It seemed to start on Monday when shoppers were trying to checkout. They said initially it was nothing to do with them it was a problem with Visa and MasterCard but it seemed to then develop into something else. We…

Anyone know anywhere online to purchase or stores anywhere in Liverpool/Merseyside to regularly purchase Golden Wonder Chippies Chip Shop Curry Flavour Potato Sticks (confused) I've recently started to purchase from local farmfoods store Liverpool belle vale, but they only get them now and again and don't seem to know when…

Filled up in Tesco today. Had a £5 off £50 spend coupon linked to my Clubcard. Noticed my receipt showed 5 points less than expected. Checked my Tesco app and noticed the £5 coupon had gone and showing as used today. So the petrol spend had used the coupon but not deducted it from the spend, as it is not an eligible…

One of the advantages of using Lidl was that they sold Formil a washing detergent (powder or liquid) which doesn't (didn't?) have a powerful smell like most of the other types of detergent. I've just bought their newish non-bio super-concentrated version and this seems to have the same repulsive smell as the big brands.…

I've received an email purportedly, and indeed quite possibly, from Tesco but I'm not convinced. It's come from info@email.tesco.com whereas I can only see that I've had them from @mail.tesco.com previously. This has gone to an email address that I rarely get spam into and they've got my first and last name correct so I'm…
