Asda says there hasn't been a data breach, but it's worth checking your balance and ensuring you use different passwords for online accounts...

How do you find out where rewards are spent ?  The app does not show it as described in the report.  It only shows the location that rewards are added, spending does not show the location just "Asda Rewards App".

Pretty straightforward to me.  So far redeemed around £25 cash back.
  • £17 has disappeared from my cash rewards. It doesn't though tell me where it's been spent, only that the vouchers were redeemed in the Asda Rewards App. I'm hoping to contact Asda tomorrow to see if the rewards can be reimbursed. We had planned on using it towards our Xmas shop.

  • As an update I called Asda today on the number provided in the MSE article and they immediately returned the missing rewards without question. Only waited for ten minutes to speak to someone.

  • I find the Asda card useful but the app layout is dreadfully confusing. Screams pounds not points but to complete a 'mission' to spend £100, you are effectively collecting points!! Asda should learn from the other supermarket loyalty cards. One point (or whatever) per pound spent. Extra points for certain special items and a £1 voucher for so many points. Much simpler to me. Looking at certain 'missions' which say "complete" but not sure if I can complete this for a second time. Good value but too complicated. Looks like it was designed by someone straight out of app writing school with no practical experience??

    Hi Customer,

Great news. We’re making Asda Rewards even more secure.

We know you've been busy building and spending your Cashpot. To further increase the safety of your earnings, we're launching a new security feature.

From tomorrow morning, to add more security to your account, we’re adding One-Time Passcode (OTP) functionality to the Asda Rewards app.

    Asda Rewards
    What’s a One-Time Passcode?
OTP is an extra layer of security used to confirm a user’s identity in addition to their regular password. Many retail and banking apps have them so you’re probably familiar with how they work.

    What you’ll need to do
From tomorrow morning, we’ll be asking all Asda Rewards customers to enter their mobile number on the app. Customers will then receive a One-Time Passcode via text message which you will then enter in the Rewards app. We’ll only ask you to do this once* and it takes less than one minute to complete.

    Is there a deadline?
There isn’t a deadline, but you should do this before you head into store to make sure your shopping trip is as hassle-free as possible. Don’t worry if you forget, you can still earn Asda Rewards as normal by scanning the in-app barcode, but you won’t be able to create or spend any Asda Rewards vouchers until you’ve verified your account using the One-Time Passcode.

Thank you for being a member of Asda Rewards.

    Your team at Asda
