Ryanair allocated and pre booked seats
Hi, So I'm going away at start of September and have started looking at the flights, I'm trying to hold out to see if the flights will reduce down at any point. I've been using the Ryanair app to check seats that have been booked to check how booked the flight is getting however are the seats that people have already…

Trouble using Norwegian Reward program
Hi all, I have this weird problem with Norwegian airline. They have a reward program which I've collected a lot of points on, but I can't spend them. I've tried twice to spend them, and on both occasions the checkout page has shown £250 saving, but on both occasions the full amount has gone from my account. The first time…

Ryanair petty law-breaking - bait and switch on hot drink and KitKat
Ryanair's Lavazza coffee, with the special grains brewed in the cup is always pretty satisfactory. For a couple of years they've offered a combined deal - for €4.50 you can get a chocolate bar with it - I normally choose a four-finger KitKat bar. Did so again yesterday. There it was - top of page 7 in the inflight magazine…

Are flights any cheaper going via Agent rather than direct with firm
Want to fly to Portland Oregon end of August, return End September. Did this a couple of years ago and I did all the booking direct with Delta online. Am I likely to get a better price by going through a travel agent. ? Looking at non stop with prebookable seats only.

Car Hire Scam Warning - InterRent (Car Del Mar)
Just to warn you to check your credit card statements after return from holiday. I booked a week's car hire with InterRent via the Car Del Mar broker site. It included 'All Inclusive Cover'. Traffic fines and foreign car hire
Has anyone had any similar issues? We have just returned from Germany and have had £29 deducted from our credit card for a traffic offence. The fine was 10 euros but the car hire firm have added over 23 euros in admin charges. We don't even know what the fine is for. There were no parking tickets during our stay, so it can…

Emotional Support Animals - flying with a horse
I recently read an article about American Airlines tightening up on what animals can and cannot fly with the airline as Emotional Support Animals. No longer can you fly with insects, goats and hedgehogs, ferrets, spiders, and non-household birds, like chickens and hawks. The good news is that your ESA can be a cat (but not…

Booking problems
Hi, On Monday I went to book flights via Edreams website. When I clicked to pay, the website said that Ryanair had increased their prices since I started booking. As it was only £20, I confirmed the booking and clicked proceed. When I did this, the page took forever to load and then eventually said there had been an error…

One way US Car hire
Hi there, has anyone got a way of avoiding the exorbitant one way hire charge in the US. We are doing a road trip from Atlanta to Dallas in June/July, and I can't find a deal anywhere that doesn't include a steep one way hire charge. In some cases the one way charge is more than the rental itself. On previous similar trips…

Airport luggage 'cage' too small: any redress?
So my friend specifically bought a small suitcase to meet Flybe's required dimensions for hand luggage. However, at check-in at Norwich airport it would not fit in their luggage 'cage' (suggesting that this device is actually slightly smaller than the size they say they allow) and she had to leave it with a friend. Does…

Matrix for cheapest car rental?
Hi all, I fly into Lisbon from around April 1st, and would like to get a car for any period from 10-30 days. Doesn't need to be anything fancy. Do any comparison sites offer a price matrix to allow me to find the cheapest deals available for some random long period I wouldn't think to check? E.g. with flights if you fly…
