Things I come across in the Post Office
I had one of these threads running years ago as I could just not believe some of the things I see at the local PO or mail centre - and couldn't resist one today. Guy at counter with a bundle of bits absolutely losing his rag as the Counter clerk didn't have postage non tamper bags for him to use, nor a printer or anything…

Ebay 70% off FVF
I am getting these deals on a regular basis and I am wondering if you can create the listing and then save it to drafts. Then once the deal goes live accept it to my account and then release all the listings from drafts into live auction. Is this something that can be done as I want to take advantage of this promotion just…

Can we still use the old way of listing on EBay?
I've been listing on EBay since 2005 but had a break the last year. Thought I'd try listing a couple of items tonight to get myself back into the habit of it again but it's taken me almost an hour then I gave up when I got to the postage part. Our local Post Office closed down over a year ago so I would be using Evri to…

take care with ebay advice about alternative couriers during RM strike
I noticed that where an RM strike is imminent the ebay postage page states helpfully that sellers should consider an alternative courier to avoid issues around delays with RM. I would treat this suggestion with extreme caution. Tempting as it might be to take ebay advice and get your parcels out via courier instead it…

Any free yet decent eBay sniper/bidder? (Not Gixen, it wants money)
Gixen was a great tool but it's owner now wants money (yes, you can still have 4 free snipes per month, how generous!). I used jBidWatcher some years ago, it was unreliable. So, are there any free yet decent snipers left?

UPS Packlink Dimensions
Anyone knows exactly what the dimensions for shipping with UPS Packlink are? I get a bit confused with this as the Packlink shipping dimensions under UPS state: I have a parcel that is 41cm 41cm 32 cms in size. So if I use the above formula, my parcel would be 41x41x32/5000=10.75 Does this mean my parcel is way above their…

Item left on doorstop?
I ordered a sheet from ebay. I had an email saying it had been delivered by Hermes mid-afternoon yesterday. I was in at that time, but had only got in about twenty minutes before that. The email stated the parcel had been left in a secure porch. I don't have a porch. I checked all around the property including wheelie bins…

Fastest way to get letter to Amsterdam, esp with RM strikes?
Forgive me not trawling the board for long if this has already been answered in an obvious place, but ... I have to get a letter to Amsterdam ASAP (there's a SIM in it, is all). I'm not saying money is no object, but I'm prepared to pay more than RM would charge. Where would anyone recommend? DHL, or elsewhere?

Leave or Re-list?
I only list items on FVF reduction offers - usually the 80% off fees since I no longer get the £1 max fee's offer :disappointed: Listed lots of items as a BIN with Best Offer during the last offer. I have 18 days remaining in the first selling period - I am aware the items must sell in the first period to be eligible for…

Curious tracking entry on Evri shipment!
Not a problem, just curious why Evri would make strange tracking entry on a parcel I have returned. To explain I returned a parcel by Evri to a clothes store on Monday. On the tracking - Collected from Parcel Shop Inbound Parent Child at Depot On its way back to retailer. What on earth could "inbound parent child at depot"…

Annoying buyer
Just had my ‘favourite’ sort of buyer on an auction on my private account. Bid on the same day I listed it, then bid again two days later and again yesterday , so of course I was thinking he really wanted this item especially as no one else was bidding. Won the item last night at starting price and this morning he’s just…

ebay listing fees, I am being charged even though I have 980ish free listings left
I have about a dozen items for sale and am just leaving them to automatically relist each month. I have just been informed that I owe £5.60 in listing fees even though I have 999 free listings available each month. Has there been a change in relisting that I have missed or is this an ebay glitch? Thanks in advance for any…

Query with Postage on Ebay
I'm just about to send out my eBay parcel and wanted to use the ship your order service. It is showing me that a medium parcel up to 20kg Royal Mail Special Delivery is £6.35. Surely this cannot be correct? On the Royal Mail website the same parcel quote is £14.45. The parcel weighs just over 2.2kg. If I went with Ebay…

Shoes bought on eBay and soles crumbled after first use.
I bought a preloved hotter shoes on eBay. The item arrived in good condition and was very pleased with my purchase. But on first wear the soles started to crumble. I did a search on the internet and it seems to be very common with hotter shoes. Hotter shoes are not cheap and I thought I was getting a bargain. I have…

How to pay someone securely for a motorcycle
Don’t know if I’m in the right place here… but I’m
contemplating buying a vintage motorbike advertised on Car & Classic.
Trouble is, the bike’s in England, and I’m in N Ireland, so I’d have to have it
delivered rather than collecting and paying for it in person. I’ve been buying things on eBay for many years, using…

Send mail in transparent "envelope"?
Random thought just occurred to me since I recently started using print at home service from Royal Mail.... I have been buying self seal plastic envelopes for sending small items and sticking a print at home label with barcode onto this. Zip lock bags from supermarkets are just 5p each and essentially the same thing but…
