eBay Google Image Search Dark Background ?

I'd read somewhere that images taken on a dark background won't show up on a Google image search. However, I can't seem to find anything definitive - just anecdotal. Obviously, maximum exposure is paramount when listing,  but likewise, some items look better with a Black background.  The solution I guess is to add a single image as Main Photo on White background. (The background removal Tool isn't always effective ) But does anyone have the concrete answer ? Appreciate any advice.

That's easy to proof as rubbish... google "low key photo", save a random photo of your choice, use Google Photo Search with said saved photo and see all the results you get.

They probably mean the google shopping sponsored section your ebay listings and photo might turn up in - not the general google image search.
