Having parcel collected from Abroad - customs documents?
I need to have a parcel collected from a Polish seller who does not post to the UK. I don't know what the requirements are for customs documents into the UK, and am wondering if the information I might be asked for by UPS will be sufficient if customs have any issues? Is it a requirement to at least have a commercial…

Do RM Special Delivery by 1pm still compensate the postage fee if it turns up next day after 1pm?
Hi all. I had a RM SD by 1pm turn up after 1pm the following working day and upon trying to put a claim in, a message pops up saying 'sorry, we cannot continue with your claim.....you must allow 1 working day from the posting date before we can treat the item as being delayed'. Unsure if RM have changed their terms on this…

Local PO counter (in a Tesco) refuse my pre-paid parcels.
I can see that this has been going on since at least 2017 but is it legal for them to refuse pre-paid Royal Mail 24 or 48 labels? they will not give me a reason, or show me a directive or memo! I only send one or two small parcels a week and had no issues until around 6 months ago! I generally book using parcel2go as it is…

Royal Mail Parcel Lost : refund in 5 days .. well done Royal Mail
A parcel never arrived, which I forgot all about, although I previously refunded the buyer. On Monday this week I completed the online claim form and have today received a cheque, for the selling price and the postage paid, which I think is pretty good .. well done Royal Mail. A few years ago I had to make another claim,…

Vinted - is this odd?
I browse a number of categories on Vinted and have noticed that a few posters whoo have zero reviews have listed a range of items all at the same price. E.g. one seller has 20 items all priced at £6.10, another with all priced at £7.89, another at £9.28. Why would somebody price a BN Barbour jacket the same as a used Next…

Buying from Canada
I'd like to buy something - a piece of jewellery - costing around £950 from Canada off eBay. Items from the US have all charges paid at point of sale inc duty etc. This does not appear to be the case with Canada - it just shows the postage charge. How can I find out what other charges I'll have to pay? TIA

Are people using AI to write eBay feedback now?
Not that many people bother to leave feedback these days, so I was surprised to receive a full paragraph of flowery, meaningless nonsense in respect of a recent transaction. It's the very same standard of gibberish generated by the eBay AI listing tool, so it wasn't much of a leap to arrive at this conclusion... anyone…

Is Royal Mail trustworthy anymore, for eBay deliveries?
I regularly buy/sell on eBay and have done so since 2005. I have noticed a substantial change in delivery service, when trading in breakable items, in the last month. Each time I purchase crockery or breakable home-ware, the seller has carefully packaged the item in a sturdy box and made substantial efforts to protect the…

eBay Requiring National Insurance Number
eBay are requesting my National Insurance number for forwarding tax information to HRMC. I'm worried about sharing this information as I don't know how secure their site it. Does anyone know if it's safe to give them this or if it's necessary? Surely HRMC will be able to know who people are with the information eBay…

Australian company combining 2 separate orders which takes me over customs threshold, options?
I recently placed two orders with an Australian company, i was mindful to keep both orders below £135 so as not to have to pay £56+ to receive the items after a customs charge. The orders were placed a couple of days apart. Even though they have not shipped i have been told i cannot edit the order as they have gone to the…

Watch out for the eBay COURIER scam
Watch out for the eBay COURIER scam COURIER is a method of delivery that is calculated AFTER the sale and wide open to scamming. I won an auction item for a fair price. The scammer was not happy that I'd won it for such a low price so he added the courier charge, after the sale, of a whooping £500. Scammer claimed it was a…

Listing on Ebay, lower price or free post
I'm currently listing a load of stuff on ebay but have been trying to decide if it better to list an item with free postage for say £25 or list the item for £20 with £5 postage. Which would seem like the better deal to the buyer. To me free postage seems like a better deal?
