Using PayPal on site like Timu rather than my own bank details

hi, having looked at Temu etc, I am reluctant to use my own bank details to make a purchase. I was wondering if it would be better to use PayPal, that way it would be more secure. I was wondering what peoples experiences with PayPal have been like in addition would there be an alternative. Many thanks

More secure in some ways but with huge negatives in others.
Pay directly by card and you can do a chargeback or S75 but paying via paypal removes that option with some
banks/card providers.
I pay by card on almost everything and use the banking app to freeze the card from online purchases. Quite often
I make purchases and need to verify them with the app anyway.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -

So if you're not using a credit card and a purchase is under £100 then Paypal would give you the protection that the credit card companies wouldn't. Paypal is also quicker at getting your money back if there's a problem.

We have a Revolut card and not only is cheap for overseas spending, but the app allows you to generate a one time disposable card number for companies where you aren't expecting to make many any repeat purchases.
As soon as that card number is used once, the number changes and the old "card" expires so further payments cannot be taken.
• The rich buy assets.
• The poor only have expenses.
• The middle class buy liabilities they think are assets.

I doubt any option is entirely scam proof. The best is to cover yourself as much as possible and be covered enough for the third party/bank to pick up the tab if something goes wrong.
