It’s worth photographing…

He is 62, and since diagnosis (3 and a half years ago) up until the start of this year he has worked full time except for 4-5 months he had to take off during 2016/2017 for Chemotherapy treatment. He has been…

Is this receiving PIP in own right?
I am asking as I am considering application for school bursary My child is in sixth form and is eligible for the bursary "if claiming PIP in their own right" My child has an appointee. We receive the disability element of child tax credit. I am just confused what "in their own right" actually means. Thank you.

Loss at PIP Tribunal. What next?
Hi All, Last November my Mom was moved from DLA to PIP. She went through their assessment and magically went from being higher rate DLA (for 24 years!) to getting 0 points for PIP. She really isn't well, both mentally and physically. The loss of money is causing her a lot of grief, she was working for a family member…

Appealing PIP decision - considerations.
I’ve had my letter back from my mandatory reconsideration and only gained extra points in one area. They’ve referenced my consultant letter, but then said this doesn’t match their stereotype of my job and have therefore not attributed further points in those areas. They’ve also declined evidence I suffer from anxiety and…

Disabled persons railcard question
I have a question about applying for a disabled persons railcard. I'm doing it online and it has an option to put in a discount code, and it says council code. Do councils give you a discount when you purchase a railcard? I just wondered where you get a discount code or a council code for it. Thanks for any help.

Physiotherapy
Saw my GP yesterday about severe knee pain. After examination told it is a cartilage problem and I will need to try physiotherapy before anything else is considered. Phoned this morning as I apparently have to self refer. Offered a telephone consultation in 10 days time and dependent on the result could be waiting 13 weeks…

It's arrived!
My son's letter to apply for PIP has finally arrived. He is 21, and has been on an indefinite award since he was eight years old. I've been expecting it since he turned 16, and the brown envelope dropped through the letterbox yesterday. I'm going to ring for the forms on Monday. I've already started to gather evidence of…

Minibus for a wheelchair
Just curious about the cost of hiring a minibus that will take a large wheelchair. I have thought about leasing a minibus and hiring out my services to local schools and councils. I already work in that sector, but I have no knowledge of the money side of things. If I were to buy a all seater minibus, the purchase cost and…

PIP sorted
Awarded PIP today standard care enhanced mobility till 2022, whole process took 8 weeks . On DLA originally 20 years ago I was on mid care high; mobility, but for the last 17 years mid care; low mobility. Have to say that the assessors report was fair and mostly accurate and was obviously accepted by the DWP DM.
