I believe that once in payment - it continues after state retirement age - and Boris has promised to go easy on renewal assessments for those people !

A blue badge will only run for as long as your PIP award runs until.

As you've not yet reach state pension age then you'll need to check your PIP award and it will tell you on there the end date, as everyone is different. 6 months before it ends you'll be sent review forms. Those that have reached state pension age have a 10 year PIP award.

Not necessarily the case - if the OP was getting a blue badge on an automatic basis - then yes
But - if the OP is not claiming PIP - they can still apply for a blue badge !
What I am saying is that you don't have to be on PIP to get a blue badge

I know you don't need a PIP award to have a blue badge!

In this case because the OP is claiming the blue badge because of their PIP award, then yes the badge will end when the PIP does, which was the reason why i gave that advice in the first place! It was what they asked!

I really do hope that you are right as there is a little bit of confusion over this go easy/automatic PIP renewals.
