I'm new and need a bit of help
Hi I have been getting Martin's e mails for some time now but this is the first time I have been on the chat forum. Last year I contacted CCCS and restructured my debt, they told me I would have my debt £28,000 paid off in approx 8 years. I now have another problem. My husband also has similar debt which he has been paying…

Time Limit for collection of alledged debt?
Hi all, approx 7 years ago I paid off a store card using two separate payments (half each) to a "recovery agency". I heard then nothing for years....until last year when a different company wrote and alledged that I owe them £250 (one of the payments). I tried to tell them that this was paid, and due to the length of time…

Loan Loophole?
Hey guys, A relative who prides himself on his 'legal knowledge' mentioned the other day that if a loan agreement isn't signed by at least a regional manager of a compnay or bank it isnt legal! Apparently that's because no-one lower has authority to lend the money. Any comments? If it were true we'd all be laughing!

Still being hassled, and now threatened
Hi guys, I've had YET ANOTHER text from 'CSL' regarding my Barclays loans. I told them last week that I wasn't going to do anything until the court case has finished. They agreed and I wasn't supposed to hear from them for a month or so. Now they're telling me they want a token payment, and that it's now gone to a…

Income/Outcome - what do you think
Hey Guys, I'm 22, live with my girlfriend and work full time in IT. I have no real debts, but I am currently -1200 in my bank. I've been like this for a long time now. I get paid, then at the end of the month I'm back at around -1000. I have a graduate account so it's interest free, but I still want to be back up in the…

are their any female dfw's who are also slim?
I hope this doesn't offend anyone, or it's not too much of a personal question but has anyone else put on weight since becoming a DFW? I suppose it's due to cancelling exercise classes, eating food so it doesn't go off or go to waste or sitting on the computer on MSE rather than going for walk so you're not tempted by the…

GUTTED - Need a shoulder to cry on
Hello all, I feel like crying at the moment. My husband had just reached his lightbulb moment and we were doing really well in clearing off our debts which at LBM had reached nearly 40k. We have just moved (well just over three months ago) as my husband was offered a better paid job with another company who also paid us a…

MBNA - Is this weird or OK?
Had a phonecall from MBNA this morning. I have two credit cards with them (one BOS and one Abbey). Their suggestion is as follows: They leave the lower balance account (Abbey) frozen and take the payments for both accounts (£17.42 and £13.19) from the CCCS and pay this off the higher balance (BOS card) until such a time…

CCJ's - A quick question
Hi, I know it's probably easy to find, but I'm having one of those days. Is it 6 years from the date it was put on your credit file that a CCJ's is removed? Or is it 6 years from the satisified date? Or have I got the wrong end of the stick and it's something else entirely? Cheers for any info G
