Rewards card options?
I have done a search but all the answers seem old. I have a Tesco CC I do all my spending on it and pay it off in full each month. I used to get 4x in reward vouchers but now it's only 2x. Which card would get me better rewards, be it % cashback or other rewards or should I just stick with Tesco? Thanks

is there an APP for all your offers across multiple cards
this is also for debit cards but couldn't see a section covering both. I have a few bank accounts and credit cards. most of them now give you loads of discount offers. is there a simple app to save you logging into each bank when you go to a certain shop or restaurant or I guess just making any purchase? this seems to take…

HIES insurance or section 75?
We have a Solar PV system with batteries, installed in 2021 - and therefore only 3 years into the 10 year warranty. We discovered (almost by accident) that the installers are now insolvent. Solar Together (who organised the bidding scheme that awarded the contract to the installer, on behalf of the local authority) simply…

PayPal credit
Hello. My husband has around 5,000 on PayPal credit and the interest rate is about 29%. We’ve been paying off around £200 a month for a while but it’s not going down very quick. Does anyone have any advice on what’s best to do in this situation? Many thanks

Very low credit limit on pre-approved M&S card
I applied for a pre-approved M&S credit card so that I could do a 0% balance transfer from my Lloyds credit card. I've received an email which says that my application is approved and I can expect a credit limit of £850, which is far too low to do my balance transfer (£2000), let alone use it for anything else. My gross…

Buying a car
Can you buy a used car on a credit card? Is it worth me getting a cashback card for this and cancelling after? I would need £17k which I checked and I should be 95% eligible for. Do I just say how much I need credit limit wise when I apply?

Credit card interest
I have a Nationwide credit card which is not the transfer type. I have roughly £2000 on it and i am about to start paying interest on this amount in November as the introductory period is coming to an end. What is the best thing to do to avoid this interest, i am thinking of taking out another card with 0% interest and…

Virgin Money credit card, credit limit
Sorry if this is a silly question! Earlier today applied for the above card and pretty much straight away received an email saying great news, your application has been approved and then at the end of the email has a picture of a card with my name and a credit limit of £8,200. This is a lot more than I thought it would be.…

Monzo Flex Payment Times
Just got the monzo flex card and I’ve been reading on it and if I’m correct if you use it within 14 days of your payment date you pay on the next payment date, well I used it yesterday and it only give me the option to pay in full on my payment date which was today and not next months, any reason for this, is it cause it’s…

Tesco & Santander CCs
I have been repeatedly rejected for Tesco Credit Cards and Santander Credit Cards, without any light or any reason given, as usual. It doesn't affect me whatsoever as I have over 8 credit cards with mainstream providers for some of which I applied on the same day I was rejected by those two. I am no curious however why…

Interest on Credit Card
My 0% balance transfer is due to expire on 12 Jan 25. .My statement date is also the 12th of each month with a payment date by the 6th of the following month. Now, when they produce my statement on 12th Jan, it will state a payment due date by 6th Feb, and I intend to payoff any balance to avoid interest charges. So I'd…

Chargeback/Section 75
A cycling events organiser went into receivership and a trip costing £700 was cancelled. The trip had been paid in 4 installments all on credit card. I contacted the Co-op bank advising this and providing evidence of receivership on the 10th of June. They replied advising they were instead trying a chargeback first. Since…

Cancel/close new credit card account?
Basically I’m an idiot (and obviously clueless about credit cards, only first got one this year) and didn’t realise you can’t use a 0% balance transfer card to transfer the balance of a credit card you have with the same bank. So it’s no good to me! The only reason I even applied for one is that my mortgage broker advised…

Credit card application with a company I defaulted with
Hi, This post will make me sound incredibly stupid! 15 Years ago, I had got myself in debt with credit cards. Long story short, never repaid some and was advised at the time that after 6 years they would be statue barred and I could start to rebuild my credit. Which I have been doing for the past 15 years. Yesterday, I…

Should I close unused cards?
I am trying to improve my credit worthiness. I may wish to apply for a mortgage in the next year or 2. I have one default from 2020 which has affected my credit rating. Earlier this year, I applied for 3 subprime 0% balance transfer cards. These are now paid in full. I now have 7 credit cards altogether. Amex, virgin money…
