My credit card limits reduced to £100 - why?
I had 2 credit cards. 1 with £8000 limit and the other £14,000. I never use my credit cards - only maybe 3-4 times a year - like when booking for a holiday or buying something expensive. A few days ago, I got messages saying that my limits were reduced to £100. OMG. I haven't done anything! I've tried calling - but they…

Balance transfers and effects on credit score
I have a credit card that I'm paying lots of interest on and would like to consider a balance transfer (for up to 23 months) so that I can pay off the amount quicker. My question is this - will a balance transfer affect my credit score (which is currently excellent at 999)? If so, how?

I’ve been self-employed for the last 7 years and then a student nurse for the last 3. I’ve got to the end of that road and will be starting a permanent post in September. My credit file is fine with no missed payments, but I’ve ran up a lot of credit cards during my time studying (I’m in my late 40’s btw and single). I’ve…

Lost all BT offers
Hi all, I've got a few CCs with some fairly small balances, but recently used one that had interest free for 2 years to buy a car, worked out cheaper than finance, so used it to transfer 16k. I've got plenty of other cards with no balances, a barclaycard I never used with a credit limit of 18k etc. I always pay everything…

Vanquis App
Is anyone else becoming hugely frustrated by Vanquis? Their app stopped working for me recently, and in spite of my complaint they don't yet appear to have a fix. Now I can't even access my statements from the desktop site. So annoying!

Securing guaranteed limit on 0% payment card in advance
Have two CCs, modest limit (total ~9k). With the exception of when I first got one of my cards years ago, I've never utilised 0% purchase periods. I clear the balance every month. My CCs are 8 and 6 years old, hence not used to applying and the ins and outs. Considering big purchases and/or stoozing ahead and wondering if…

Paying Off Balance Effect
Hi, I wanted to ask a question regarding paying off my balance and its effect on my credit score/file. If I was to pay off any purchases moments after placing it, would this make any difference compared to leaving it until the end of the month and paying it all off at once?

No fee card for spending when abroad
I recently went to Italy for a short visit and didn't really plan my trip in advance. I paid for some items in cash and some on my debit card using my phone. Having looked at my balance I've been charged a non-sterling transaction fee for each transition. I'm heading to Spain soon and would prefer to pay on my card again…

Natwest Mastercard - mortgage payments
Does anyone know if Natwest credit card treat mortgage payments as transfers/advances? Nationwide Credit Card - SOLVED
Call me an idiot (I know some will) but does anyone use Nationwide's app and understand their credit card statements? On the app and even if you download the PDF of the statement, its not really clear (and this is more than likely me not understanding) when the charges start and when they end. I pay off the card in full…

John Lewis Partnership Card - new payment plan
Has anyone else had an email from NewDay telling us that they are going to 'collect' our monthly direct debit payments FIVE days before the due date? And also that our account will be made up five days later than before. Do they think we are daft? Their terms were already worse than those ruling when HSBC ran their card.
