Hope someone can offer some info..?
I have a newly opened Tesco 0% BT card that I have submitted 2x transfers to, 1x from B'card and 1x from Halifax both are for less than £2k and the limit on the card is £10k. Both transfers appeared to have gone through as normal, with the additional transfer fee on the 2nd Dec, I have just checked and both were reversed and the balance returned to £0 on the 3rd..?!
The 0% transfer offer expires on the 9th Dec so I'm at a loss as to why they've both been reversed.
I have just tried again to submit the B'card transfer again online but now it returns a message of "Transfer declined"
(I can't give them a call right now as I don't have the card with me and they will need the number before they will be able to access the account...)
Anyone any idea why this would be..?

It does sound very odd. One "usual" reason would be that you can't transfer between cards owned by the same group, but that's not the case here (yes, I know Tesco Bank has been sold to Barclays, but they're being run as separate entities, so it shouldn't be an issue).Silly question - you did actually have an outstanding balance on the Barclaycard and Halifax cards? If you tried to do a BT when you'd actually cleared the balance via your regular payment (DD perhaps?), then the payment would bounce as you're not allowed to put the card into credit.Other than that, the only thing I can think is that you possibly mis-keyed the card numbers when you were doing the BT. Presumably you now still have the original balance sitting on the Halifax and Barclaycard cards?0

Both cards have a balance of £1500+ on them currentlyOther than that, the only thing I can think is that you possibly mis-keyed the card numbers when you were doing the BT.
I double checked the card numbers and also this morning "Transfer declined" is returned immediately..

The original balance on each did not change even though the balance on the TBT card did go up and show the combined balance of both including the 2.95% transfer fee for each..!
Thanks for the reply @CliveOfIndia0 -
I had this with a Santander card, BTs were rejected / reversed 3 times with different reasons - they went through over the phone when I called them as a last resort
Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

Thanks @Nasqueron I'll give them a call tonight and report back0

Could it also be that your new card has been closed after they made their enquiries about you?
You might find a letter on your mat by now?0 -
OK I called them last night and it was due to extra security checks that were flagged on the account. They had tried to call me, but on my landline number. Which is no longer in use since I swapped ISP..!
