Why just those 2 cards? They are very different!

  • I had the Asda credit card and thought about transferring the balance I owe (£700) to a 30 month no interest account which is the  Barclay credit card.

Are you saying that you currently have an Asda credit card with a balance of £700 and have a confirmed balance transfer offer of 30 months at 0% with Barclaycard?  If so, then it seems a bit of a no-brainer, but if that isn't the situation then a clearer explanation would help....

Well if you're planning to transfer an existing balance from an Asda card, then another Asda card is no good - you can't (usually) transfer balances between cards owned by the same group.
But your best bet is to shop around, find a card that offers you a BT deal for the lowest fee and the longest promotional period.
