DD set up on account data breach?
Has anyone else been affected by this? I was notified today by my bank that a debt collection company had set up a DD on my account. The reference relates to my T V licence which is completely up to date and I have never owed on it. I called the debt company and they said there had "been a glitch" and to ignore it. Surely…

Moving Virgin Money account to Nationwide
As you may remember, Nationwide is taking over Virgin Money. I have a Virgin account and, eventually it seems, the Virgin accounts will be subsumed into Nationwide and - I guess - become Nationwide accounts. I have used Quicken and Moneydance in the past and am now looking for new Personal Finance software. I don't mind paying a small amount for it. Quicken seems to be the one to use - but only in the US! Microsoft Money is no longer available either. Excel is just not going to work for me - my excel skills are not good enough…

Halifax debit card - deposits to savings accounts - any recent problems?
Like many other people here I've been doing this for years to qualify for their £5 monthly reward. However, it's the second day now when all my attempts to make a deposit to YBS fail (declined). I tried two different YBS accounts, two different HX cards, different amounts (£50, £500) - to no avail. £500 failed after I…
