Halifax down?
I've just tried to log into Halifax on both app and desktop, and neither is working. On desktop, it just sat waiting and the app asked me for characters from memorable info (even after face recognition) then logged me out, citing technical issues. Is anyone else having any difficulties?

Fraud - Blocked Card Issue
Has anyone ever had a situation where bank fraud have 'blocked and cancelled' a card, which was subsequently replaced with a totally different numbered card, but the original was used in error, by me, to make a purchase which progressed as normal? Last week I inadvertently used a 6-months-ago-fraud-blocked TSB card number…

Sharp Santander Edge Account Practices. Around late 2024 I was getting bomb-barded by spam from Santander to switch my existing bog standard current account to an Edge account and collect £150. HSBC - can you have both PHYSICAL 'secure key' and mobile app?
Asking on behalf of my elderly friend. He used to have the app, but it's absolutely unfit for elderly people. So, he switched to a physycla secure key and uninstalled the app. Now he wants to apply for a Global Money account that, unfortunately, "is only available via the app". So, is it possible to install the app back…

Barclays App and paying in cheques
Anyone else have problems with Barclays App when paying in cheques? I can not get the app to recognise the cheque and take a photo of it. I'm using a dark background as suggested - the green rectangle flashes around (or not) but the app refuses to take the picture. First time I tried it took around 20mins to get a photo,…

I saw that the Co Op Bank switching/referral offer had disappeared from the main MSE article a few weeks go but I've just been on their site and it seems like it's back, £100 for switching plus £50 for using the attached saving account. Just had a brief look so far (I currently have another switch in motion) but here's…

Bank account for community group
We are reviewing the banking options for a local voluntary community group (not a registered charity or trading organisation) following the closure of the local TSB branch where the group has until now had a "clubs and societies" account. It would be useful to have suggestions from forum members, as the range of banking…

Recently had a couple of purchases via paypal (both interest free) using Pay in 3 and 12 monthly instalments. But the D/D hasn't changed to take these into account - it's still at the minimum amount and I can't see an option to change it to take the appropriate amounts (bar manually working it out or manual paying stuff).…

Shawbrook cannot verify their own accounts?
I have just opened a fixed rate bond with Shawbrook and tried to transfer money from my Easy Access account with them to the new bond. I can't because they say they cannot verify this account electronically, so I must sign up to open banking to allow access to this account so they can verify I am the account holder. Is…
