Nationwide Flexdirect Account

I have a Nationwide Bank account, which I am mostly happy with, however one small gripe is whenever I or someone transfers money to another Nationwide account it only shows the sort code and account number. I phoned them up to see if I was doing something wrong and they stated that I wasn't. So I guess I just have to put up with it.

Nationwide are very behind the times when it comes to banking systems and apps etc. You can either put up with it or switch to somewhere that does show you.2

Nationwide are working on a new online system... Well you don't 'have to put up with it'.
I have a Nationwide account but don't use it as my day to day account - just keep enough in there to satisfy the conditions for the annual payout, which hopefully continues5 -
NW are merging with Virgin Money so I guess somewhere in the future the two systems will have a new one.2

I have just found a way to make it work, it you delay the payment by one day or more it used your name and not the sort code and account number. Hope this helps a little.
