Identify theft and the Financial Ombudsman

Hello folks. Just starting up my business as a sole trader. It is likely that I will be looking for clients from abroad. It is therefore also likely that I will be requesting a fee in GBP, so I will need an account that will automatically convert to the local currency, and then, of course house that fee in my account (I…

Is a fixed ISA any good?
I have found my interest rate almost half in past year or so. Is a fixed one any good? I believe I can earn £1500 in interest over a 2 year fixed rate. That’s on 20k. I will have other savings I can use. I am confused by early closure charges any ideas what sort of figure this would be? Can you still view your isa in your…

Sent bank payment to a closed help to save account
I made a mistake and sent a sum of money to a closed Help to Save account from 5 years ago (I should have deleted the payee yes) I've told my bank and they are going to recall the funds (can take up to 20 days) Do you think help to save will return the funds when they see the reference number is to a closed account?

The Rich act Poor and the Poor act Rich.
Are we living in a society in which many are financially illiterate
and consumeristic? Live for the moment,
never mind tomorrow, show off and live beyond our means? Try to be someone we are not most likely down
to insecurity and jealousy? Spend, spend,
spend and not save and invest? I see it every day where nearly every…

Child & Co RBS Branch to close
Just received notification that the Child & Co RBS branch will be closing on 29/06/2022. Not clear if the brand will continue (branded Debit Cards) or not, but it is a shame nevertheless (renovated in 2015-16 I Believe, beautiful branch and nice service, where you were often offered a drink whilst waiting).
