Does this count as 2 DD's? for Nationwide switch
Looking to do a joint account Switch from Co op to Nationwide for the £175. Looks like a good account as we will get cash back on our spending. But does this count as 2 active Direct debits? Obviously papal is active, so that counts. The TV license comes out on the 1st Dec, but hasn't yet. The parent pay one I was going to…

Transferring funds from one bank to another
One issue which always confuses me when transferring funds between my personal accounts in banks is the different terminology used. My Santander bank account, which I'm sending funds from, uses an entry called 'Payee name', presumably it is expecting my name here. However, the Vanquis Bank account which is the account I'm…

Exchange rate sterling to euro
I have noticed some increase in the rate of sterling to euro in the last week or so. Looking at last year there were a couple of occasions when the rate went as high as 1.20. Is that an unusual peak, has if often got to that level? I appreciate that rates can't be predicted.

Can I close Regular Savings Account
I've got a Zopa regular savings account earning 7.1% and a Zopa current account. I don't actually use the current account but it was a requirement for getting the regular saver. I'm trying to simplify my life a bit and wondered if I can close the accounts down even though I only opened them 5 months ago? Or can you only…

I got my £175 from the Coop what happens next?
What will happen to my coop current account if I cancel all direct debits and stop paying in £1000 a month after I get my last £25 on 5th February? Will I still be able to convert it to an Everyday Account for the travel insurance if I need it before I turn 80 at the end of the year?

Will Club Lloyds know I have set up 3 new direct debits?
On my TSB account that I am going to use to get their £250 switch on a club lloyds account. Set up 3 £1 direct debits on credit cards today before I apply. They class active as paid within the last 13 months, but surely TSB doesn't tell them that?

New Lloyds Account - Don't make this mistake
Today I opened a new Club Lloyds account as a brand new LLoyds customer (never banked with them before). I was obviously attracted by their new account switch offer. After getting the account opened and getting myself registered for online banking, I decided I would do a small test payment to send money in from one of my…

Lloyds banking app
I recently registered with Lloyds in order to get the switching incentive. Today I received my activation code by post which I have entered when prompted on the app. The next stage step on the app is to 'create memorable information' as an extra layer of security. It has 2 fields where I need to set my memorable word. You…

First Direct 1st Account - App sign up camera issue
I was looking to sign up for the 1st Account for the cashback, and it seems the only way to register is via the app. Ok, fine. So I installed the app on my S20 FE, filled out the required details, scanned my passport and then it came time to capture my image. This is where I start having problems. I position my face in the…

Switching bank accounts
Hi, can anyone just explain a few things for me, please? My husband and I have been with the same bank for years, and I keep looking at switching bank accounts, but I am a bit dubious. Strange PBZ Credit SOLVED
This morning I had a Bank Transfer into my main account without any key identifier. The amount was £25.00 and had a string of numbers ending NS PBZ. I now know this is a Premium Bond prize. It's a complete mystery why they would hide their identity. It looks like a scam test of the account. Many hours wasted on the phone…
