Lloyds error opening account.
Hello, I just wondering if anyone has experienced the same and how they managed to get it resolved. I recently opened a Lloyds premier (moving from Barclays Premier) account, completed the application form, it went through, downloaded and saved the welcome pack and terms. However when the card arrived it appeared to be a…

Bank allowing multiple accounts for the same business?
Hi all,I've had a good look around but not been able to find this. Does anyone know of a bank which allows multiple current accounts for the same business? Like Chase does for personal accounts. Free and easy to open. For the same reason Chase is useful - switching bonuses, but this time for business accounts. Cheers 😃

Opening a bank account as a gift to someone
I'm wondering if there is a way to gift a bank account to another person or organisation? As a school/parent community we would like to have an account for our teachers so that we can donate money to their fund throughout the school year. Not for the school but specifically for the teachers. We'd like to explore this as an…

Barclays make more changes that restricts customers interests
Just had a letter from Barclays that says all my foreign currency bank accounts are going to change on 09/10/25, making them cashless for any withdrawls or deposits, they will only be operated online with increased charges so as to increase profits for the bank, but not for the benefit of the customer as usual. The whole…

Natwest - Bereavement money transfer
Hi all! My family has a bit of a sticky wicket at the moment and while I can see the obvious resolution, this is not something that has been proposed by the bank so it's left us a bit concerned. Sadly a few weeks ago my father in law passed away, it took a bit of time to obtain the Death Certificate due to the Bank Holiday…

I got a CIFAS for receiving £85 for jackets
So in October I received £85 on behalf of my friend for jackets that he was selling because he was unable to receive the funds. Monzo asked me what the payment was for and I explained to them providing evidence as to why I received them. Monzo then proceeded to shut my account down and after that my barclays account also…

NatWest Reward Silver
Is there a minimum term? I can't find anything in the T&Cs. I'm thinking upgrade for 3 months over the summer and you've got travel insurance and fee free debit card spend for £15 then back down to regular rewards. I know with Lloyds you can move up and down the levels of account quite quickly.

TSB - OTP process problem due to VoIP change
So I've seen this same problem on these forums from 2021, though their problem sorted it's self out mine does not. I too get a call from TSB that was supposed to give me my One Time Password over my New VoIP Landline, which was recently changed from the old copper lines. Though like the previous post from 2021 the call…

Conditions for 1st Direct switching bonus
I've confused myself - you have to make 5 debit card transactions in the first 45 days that can't be cash withdrawals, but after that ,if I'm reading correctly , you don't have any specific requirements on the frequency of use ? We tend to use a credit card to settle supermarket, petrol bills etc then settle everything…

Basic account for vulnerable relative
Hello I have a vulnerable relative, struggling with debt issues. Is there a basic bank account that doesn't offer Direct Debits and Standing Orders? I'm wondering if we could set up a bank account to better control (and limit) spending so it is only conscious decision to pay with a card / withdraw cash.
