These stupid verification codes!
I hate these damn codes that you have to tap to register with places online, I have a real problem reading them, it just took me 3 attempts to get 1 right. They must be a nightmare for people with poor vision. I know the whole point of them is to stop spammers but surely there is a better way?

Flip me! Sky Digital Price increase? What for?!
Sky have kindly advised that from Sept 1st they'll be charging me more per month for having Sky digital. Erm...what are they charging the extra for? Apart from the obvious greed reason? Sky Movies has become utter dross, but if I ditch that, I'll have to pay a monthly subscription for my SkyPlus box. Anyone else think this…

Aria Technology
I bought two flatscreen monitors form Aria Technology (https://www.aria.co.uk) One was fine, but the other had 8 sub-pixel faults (seven and above is classed as faulty) so I went through their returns procedure and was issued with an RMA. On their website it said to return it recorded delivery and that they would pay £10…

Scottish Power manweb
Not sure where to put this, it nearly ended up on the Vent boad but instead a little praise is now due. Just been having a nasty week for bills which started with Sky demanding extra money. The I had a look at the home phone bills over the last six months and realising that our calls costs which use to be about £3 or £4 a…

Great Big British Quiz
I dont know how many of you people saw last nights about 10-2ish there was this pic of like 5 dices with the dots on and we all know that the dots on 5 dices add up to 105 cause the 3 oppisite sides add up to 7 eg. 1+6 = 7,2+5 = 7, 3+4 = 7 so there for 5 x (7x3) = 105 (well did when i went to school  but the guy…

Hi, I ordered a £30 voucher from lastminute.com for my mum for mothers day (march i think) and they never sent it. I email their help desk and they send an email back saying i can track my order through the My Account feature. That doesnt answer my question, but the email says if this doesnt help reply to this email, so i…

Grrrrr @Argos
Can anyone help me with this dilema and tell me where i stand. At the end of November i brought a mobile phone from Argos as a christmas present. A few weeks ago the screen went blank so it cant be seen, which is obviously no good as you cant see who is calling or use menus etc. Today i phoned Argos customer services and…

Sainsbury's Receipt Mistakes
I know this has popped up many times before, but the accuracy on my till receipts is pretty rubbish. But this is not my main vent. Usually (earlier this year even), if Sainsbury's (and I believe TESCO) made a mistake, they would give you the product AND your money back. Indeed, I have got a free bottle of whiskey…

Telephone Preference Service - Arggggh!
Since moving into our new house in June of 2004, I immediately registered with this service via the website (as I'd done previously in our old house), and of course waiting the 28 day period required for the thing to 'kick in'. Unsolicted marketing calls continued and I made the usual complaints via their online complaints…

I find it so annoying having to wait two minutes to open the door, I wonder why they do that, I imagine it's some safety thing.

Tesco.com / Harry Potter book
Ordered a free harry potter book with spending £30 on books - and it was not made clear either on their website or in any confirmation that this would delay the order of the £30's worth of books until the end of July! The date given on the order is 30th July. I phoned up their customer services line and was told 'tough…

Vent
What I need to vent about is that a typical post on this site goes something like these ... (a) The other week I unavoidably went overdrawn. The bank had the cheek to charge me £35. What a rip-off! I think this is disgraceful!!! How can I get it back? ... or ... (b) I didn't pay my credit card bill on time and they charged…

Damart - Again!
After the saga of the spoof threatening letter from Damart (see elsewhere on this thread) we decided to sever any contact with them. About three weeks ago I rang them up and asked them to remove us from their data-base and not send any more catalogues and literature. In this morning's post there was a catalogue and the…

Asda.com
I used Asda.com for the first time yesterday after they sent me a "£10 off your first shop" voucher. I'd booked a window between 3-5pm. By 5.30pm the shopping hadn't arrived so I called customer services. After 20 minutes in the queue, I was told that the operator had no notes that the store was running late. He said he…

Exploiting kids with sweets...
Now - not much winds me up - and although I spend AGES and AGES reading this site, I generally don't post - especially new thread - as just finding which board to put them on without getting shouted at would cause me a lack of sleep... :P However - in my MONEY SAVING travels - I found this site;…

Debenhams new return policy?
i'd already posted this on a Debenham's thread on the 'Shop don't Drop' board but this is probably a more appropriate one... I'm really cross - hopping mad  I had no idea that Debenham's had changed their return policy. I bought my daughter 3 outfits so that she could see which one she wanted to wear at a wedding,…
