Asda.com

Options
I used Asda.com for the first time yesterday after they sent me a "£10 off your first shop" voucher.

I'd booked a window between 3-5pm. By 5.30pm the shopping hadn't arrived so I called customer services. After 20 minutes in the queue, I was told that the operator had no notes that the store was running late. He said he would ring the store and ask, and then ring me back in 10 minutes to tell me what was happening. He never phoned back.

The shopping did arrive at 6.10pm, and the driver said "I bet you thought we weren't coming". I said yes and informed him that I'd already rang to find out where the shopping was but nobody had got back to me. He was really annoyed that I'd rang up and launched into a tirade of abuse blaming Asda for putting too many deliveries on his lorry, the traffic and Asda managers for "sitting on their fat a*ses all day doing b*gger all"! I wasn't happy with that phrase as mine and other young children were around.

When I unpacked the shopping, the quantities of some items have been increased and I'm sure it wasn't my fault. I've got things like 4 heads of brocolli instead of 1 and 2 bags of value peppers instead of 1. I also didn't like the way they have tended to put one or two items in a carrier bag. I ended up with millions of carrier bags, which is a waste.

I won't be using them again
Here I go again on my own....

I've used Asda.com a few times and I've had no problems. The goods were good, the driver(s) arrived within the allocated time and still smiling by the time he had brought my shopping to my flat, albeit a little sweaty - I live on the second floor!!

You have to be careful to tick the right box to say that you don't want any substitutes. And I would complain if I wasn't happy.

However, I only use this service when I work long hours and have little free time, so not at the moment. And Asda have plagued me with emails offering me free delivery and £10 off vouchers if i use the service!

Once I thought I was ordering 6 bananas (from Tesco). In fact I ordered 6 x 1.5kg bags of bananas! All my friends got presents of bananas!!! :D
