Alternatives for when the supermarkets sell out....
Hi,I know a lot of people are worried at the moment because they are unable to get what they need from the supermarkets. It would seem that more and more products are becoming unavailable, with either no stock or just expensive brands left. I thought it would be good to start a thread where we could help each other by…

How could I disinfect my prescription glasses without chemicals?

The optician has said that they don't recommend washing up liquid as it could damage the coating (!), but…

Covid-19 Isolation Support Thread
There seem to be a number of us on the OS boards who have health conditions and/or who are older for whom COVID-19 is a concern. Self-isolation seems inevitable at some point and it may be that we will feel the need to do this for several weeks or months. I thought it would be good to have a thread whereby we could offer…

As promised yesterday, the prepping thread is getting a bit swamped I thought a new specific thread might be in order for those of us who might need to self isolate, but keep getting thwarted, and need to confront the outside world. Soft toy kit to pass the time
Am having to endure a period of enforced stay-at-home. Useless with my hands normally - things like needle craft - but would like maybe to make something for grandchildren. Is there anything by way of a fairly straightforward kit (for ADULTS) for making children's soft toys? All the ones I can find are either for children…

Mould: how do I ensure mould is washed out safely & so that any residual smell of mould is remover ?
Have been having a bit of a tidy-up during these difficult months of storms then coronavirus etc.!
