Will you comply?

Should the Powers that Be decree that we must stay in our homes for our own benefit because the coronavirus has started to become more widespread than they can reasonably deal with will you comply and stay isolated for the recommended length of time? having had the comment 'Oh coronavirus, well that's never going to happen is it?' from a work colleague this morning I wonder how many will decide they don't need to heed the advice and warnings and how many of us will do as asked?

We WILL isolate ourselves if we're advised to do so, our daughter is a GP and we're in our 70s and her advice too is to do as asked for whatever period is recommended.12

I wondered if all those people who we are told are self-isolating are really are doing that or if some of them are nipping out to the shops.

Comply. I hope I will find it easy, we have a garden we can work on and can find things to do in the house. We live in a very rural area and wouldn't bump into anyone if we went out with the dogs. Oh dear would a dog walk mean I wasn't complying?Slightly bitter9

I 100% would self isolate from other people, though I could see me sneaking out for a night time walk if I thought no one was around, or pottering about in our entirely closed in back garden, I’d imagine you could get a bit stir crazy indoors if you’re feeling reasonably well. But there are a lot of people failing to take advice. I had to attend hospital with a friend a few weeks ago and apparently almost 60 people had turned up in A&E the day before wanting screened for coronavirus, despite all the advice being DO NOT GO TO A&E. Horrifying.

Heard similar comments all morning, it's quite scary how many don't believe it's happening or maybe don't care but we will definitely isolate - why risk ourselves or others?!9

We would comply, in hope we were all reasonably well it would be lovely to have some precious time with DS's and DH, as we never seem to see each due to work/shift commitments!7

Same here. I'd comply but could imagine I'd probably have to pop up the shops if I run out of essentials seeing as I don't have cupboards full of toilet rolls and pastatessie_bear said:i would comply if i could eg if i had to go out to get my kids i would if i needed food and i couldnt get it delivered i would so yes and no xx5
